Villa Aquarius was built by a renowned architect for a discerning artistic owner. The villa’s white stone façade, large balconies and French windows match its cool white interior and an attractive glass staircase. The arrangement of rooms is simple and symmetrical, adding to the overwhelmingly relaxed feel of this house. The swimming pool at the back of the house is enclosed in a modern tasteful glass conservatory which can open up in hot weather and be closed for winter swimming. The villa is very private and in a quiet position, in a walled garden, covered with grass lawn, Mediterranean shrubs, vines and orange trees. A small covered pavilion provides a shaded sitting area in the garden. The cool and sunny seaside atmosphere of this house is determined by the light which streams in from everywhere and the white sleek furniture. However, the walls of the villa are full of colour provided by many paintings created by top Croatian artists.
The villa is situated in a small village lane which follows the coastline just a few metres from the sea. Just across the villa is a portion of the beach owned by this villa and its neighbour. This beach can be seen from the upstairs bedroom. In this cool and elegant villa there is a great sense of privacy by the sea.
The villa is fully air conditioned and arranged on two floors. It is furnished with white designer furniture, tasteful lighting and elegant art work that is perfect for the villa. White stone floors are throughout the villa. Stone steps lead through the garden to the covered stone terrace and the front door which leads to an open plan hallway with a stunning glass staircase.
On entering the hallway, to your left is a lovely dining room with a white table and chairs, white side board and a feature mirror. A partial wall separates this area from the kitchen which is also sleek, white and modern, with all usual appliances and a Gaggia coffee machine. Behind the kitchen is a utility room with an iron, an ironing board and a washing machine and a drier.
To the right of the hall is a large and elegant sitting room with a modern sofa and chairs, all in a white or wood finish. This room and the dining room are full of most wonderful paintings. A TV/DVD player and a music system are in this room.

The garden is laid out in terraces and is cool and green, completely enclosed within old stone walls. Stone steps lead through the garden up to the front veranda and on to the house. Antique stone pillars decorate the garden and are an interesting contrast to the sleek modern look of the whole villa. The veranda contains table and chairs for outdoor dining and comfortable lounging chairs. There is a lovely shaded nook in the garden, covered with a vine pergola and with a stone table and a bench, evoking the bygone age of Dubrovnik noblemen who relaxed in the shade of their summer villa gardens.
There is parking space for one car in the garden. There is also a parking space for a single car on the rear side of the villa. There is space for more vehicles on the land in front of the villa, that also belongs to the villa.
The villa has a private beach a few metres away from its front gate. The beach is much like a garden with grass, pine and palm trees, flowers as well as area for sunbathing. Sun loungers and seats are provided by the owner, and the trees provide shade from the midday sun. A boat can be moored outside the house as the beach has its own mooring.
