Villa Capitano is a solid, old stone home of a family of Croatian seafarers, who long ago made their fortune and built an impressive home by the sea. The present owners have transformed the villa into a lovely and relaxed summer holiday home. The elegant stone façade of the villa is fronted by a small walled courtyard, where you can sit and sunbathe, and watch the world go by, as the locals do. Behind the villa is a secluded courtyard with a spa Jacuzzi, exclusively for the use of the guests. Behind this courtyard is a second house, where the owner lives in the summer, and pursues his hobby of painting and boating. He has a completely separate entrance to his house. The ground floor of the villa is impressively spacious and has a high ceiling and many attractive stone features. A staircase leads to the two upper floors, which are simpler and more homely, each with three double bedrooms and three en-suite shower rooms. Most bedrooms look out directly to the sea. The villa is not air conditioned, but thick stone walls decrease the summer heat. In front of the villa is the village road, and crossing that, you are in the sea, where there is also a mooring for your small boat. The villa is in a small coastal village a few kilometres outside of Oebic, the main town of the area.

The villa is arranged on three floors, over 300 square metres of floor area.
Ground floor
The villa is entered through the front terrace, up a couple of steps, through a beautiful old stone edged doorway. Immediately you are in a hall style sitting room of grand proportions, high ceilings, stunning stone walls and the floor covered with age-polished old stone slabs. A large sofa stretches along one wall. The room is decorated with good paintings and other works of art, and also has a satellite TV/DVD/music centre and high speed internet. The room also houses a piano, and many games, DVDs, children’s books, music library. The ground floor is open plan, and a couple of steps up lead through a stone architrave to a kitchen-diner, with all the equipment for modern day cooking, and a dining table which can seat twelve to sixteen persons. The kitchen has a cooker, fridge- freezer, dish washer, microwave oven, coffee machine, kettle and a toaster. Another French door opens out onto the back courtyard with the whirlpool spa Jacuzzi, an original stone well and a barbecue (charcoal and electric).

A staircase from the sitting room leads to a landing, from which you can enter two front double bedrooms each with lovely sea views. These two bedrooms can accommodate an additional child’s bed each. The third bedroom overlooks the courtyard and has an additional single bed if necessary. Bedrooms are simply furnished with new double beds and wardrobes, and the shower rooms are en-suite, simply tiled, with shower curtains. On this floor is also a washing machine, situated in one part of the hallway.

The same arrangement of bedrooms and shower rooms continues on the upper floor, which has most stunning sea views. All the bedrooms have new quality double beds. One of the bedrooms can also fit an extra single bed. All bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms however some of the shower rooms are of minimum size for a shower and WC.

OUTSIDE
The villa has a front courtyard, which is just a few metres from the sea, and provided with chairs, table and sun umbrellas. In total there are 12 garden chairs and 12 deck chairs in the house. The back courtyard is more secluded, and here the guests can use the new excellent Jacuzzi spa and prepare their food alfresco.

- The Villa is within walking distance of many lovely beaches and all kind of water sports can be practiced including fishing and jet ski
- There are numerous restaurants specialising in fresh fish and seafood
BOATING
Small boats can be hired from the main coastal towns and resorts. The coastline and inshore islands are ideal for exploring by small boat. To hire a motor boat you will require an appropriate licence or you will need to hire a skipper. For more information visit our Charter page.

All prices are in euro (EUR) and for the whole villa based on Saturday to Saturday bookings. Tourist tax is included.
Prices are for a maximum of 12 people. The villa can accommodate up to 16 persons but at an increased price, please enquire.
