Island of Krk
The island of Krk is easily accessible. It is linked to the mainland by a bridge which joins the main coastal highway 25km southeast of Rijeka whilst Rijeka Airport is actually on the island itself just 2km from the bridge.

The island is a popular tourist destination with several attractive coastal towns and villages, the principal of which are:
Baska
Baska combines the buzz and excitement of a lively beach resort with the history and charm of an authentic old town. Baska is situated on the south-west of the island and with its expansive sandy beachand over 2500 hours of sun a year, it has been a tourist centre since 1908. With many bars, restaurants and nighclubs Baska has a vibrant night live.

From Baska is easy to reach the island of Rab on the ferry frome Beska to Lopar.
Krk Town
Krk is a delightful ancient town with atmospheric narrow lanes and alleyways winding between elegant stone buildings, shops, galleries and restaurants. With many bars and night clubs Krk Town is the centre of the island' night-life. From the harbour there are excursions to the surrounding islands such as Rab and Goli otok.
Malinska
Located on the west coast of the island about 10km north of Krk town, Malinska has beautiful tree lined shore with sandy beaches.
Activities on the island include "Cable Krk" is a recreation centre with a 650 m long cableway for waterskiing and wakeboarding. All equipment is available for hire and no previous experience needed. Other activities include mini-golf, tennis, bowling alleys, horse riding, diving, sailing and fishing. There are cycle route and designated footrpaths in many areas of the island.
The Island of Cres
Cres is an outstandingly beautiful island, sparsely populated with rugged scenery and some exquisite towns and villages. The island lies directly opposite Opatija and can be reached by car ferry from Brestova to Porozina on Cres. On a trip to Cres you can take in the village of Beli, at the foot of a steep mountain, the town of Cres with ist elegant harbour and (not to be missed) the spectacular cliff top village of Lubenice. Swim from the beach at the secluded village of Valun.
