The villa was excellent!

I wanted to say thank you for your great service and easy booking for villa Breeze, Vinisce, Croatia.

The villa was excellent! We have been booking villas for the last 10 years and as a family we scored Villa Breeze as our Number 1. The villa is perfectly situated nestled between local houses and another beautiful rental house, overlooking the village with beautiful views to the marina and mountains behind. It was a very peaceful location and you felt at the heart of the small community and with the village amenities within a 10 minute walk. Here you could find a good selection of restaurants, food shops (including bakery) and an ice cream parlour.

The villa has been refurbished with love, care and attention to a very high standard. It was clean and very well equipped. The 2 separate buildings suited us perfectly as our children are 15 and 17 and gave them some independence and privacy. The pool, also made to an excellent standard was always warm and clean and was a really good size with easy access steps.

The owner was really helpful as was the housekeeper. They were very flexible on access times and kept us in good supply of her Fathers wine, who lived behind the villa!

We loved this villa and as it was our first time to Croatia has left us wanting more. We would definitely consider returning next year and exploring more of the beautiful country.

Many thanks and please pass on our thanks to the owner and family.

We had a fabulous week...

I just wanted to let you know that we had a fabulous week in your house. It is ideal for a group like us and the location is perfect both because of the scenery of the house and the central place not far from all interesting sites. We had perfect weather, a great host and it all worked out very good.

Rowena (Netherlands)  30/05/2018

Perfect for our needs

Just a short note to say how much we enjoyed the stay at the villa. It was perfect for our needs. Very well equipped and comfortable. Beautiful setting and the pool was fabulous. The housekeeper was brilliant, a lovely, helpful lady.

Great summer holiday in Croatia!

Everything was great, we were welcomed with the beautiful food spread when we arrived prepared by the host - with wine, bread, selection of cold meats. It was rather late (10pm), but she waited for us at the villa. Villa was very clean, well equipped with everything we needed - even inflatables for kids to play in the pool, plenty of towels, pool towels as well. We had a mid week clean and change of bedding/towels. The host went out of her way to make us welcome and was very responsive for all requests before the travel and even made a cake for our son's birthday. Villa is just as it is on the pictures. Beautiful, well planned house with private sound proof bedrooms & ensuite in each one. It worked very well for our party of 7 adults and 2 kids, plenty of space to play, eat together and relax. Garden is very private and secured so the kids were safe, with grapes all around. Very quite, we were worried about the airport being that close, but planes didn't bother us at all. Amazing holiday overall, Dubrovnik is 15 min drive away, nice little walk in Cilipi itself, we really liked Cavtat and big supermarket is close by.

The view is stunning

The villa is absolutely lovely. Traditional with modern facilities. The view is stunning. Sunrises are spectacular from the terrace or bedroom. We went late summer season and the village was very peaceful with the villa a haven of tranquility. The kitchen and shower room are great. The washing machine was very easy to use. The bedrooms are upstairs and are very comfortable and spacious. The garden area has great views of the valley. All in all, a wonderful holiday villa in a beautiful location.

The location is excellent. Oprtalj is a wonderful friendly community village in which there are holiday villas. The local grocery store is perfect for a wide range of essentials. Eating out couldn't be better. The Konoba Oprtalj is fantastic, offering stunning sunsets and gorgeous meals. The chef and waiting staff are very friendly and make every visit really enjoyable. There are plenty of walking, cycling and running routes locally. The local 'back' roads around Oprtalj are all smaller and less busy than the lower main roads connecting the hill towns in the area. Wild boar, deer, eagles, falcons, Jays, woodpeckers and ravens are all in abundance. The old Parenzana railway trail a perfect introduction to easy walking or cycling routes in the area.

Nigel was super. He organised the villa booking last minute along with great car hire. Communication was excellent throughout. Directions were very good and our contact in the village that met us to provide us with keys was great also. Mike very kindly took the time to talk to us about the local area and places of interest.

Wonderful location

Wonderful location. Right in the Old Town, you can walk the walls, come back, take a rest, go to lunch in the restaurant just up the steps, grab some ice cream, etc.

A beautiful villa

A beautiful villa in a wonderful location.

The perfect situation for a family holiday. Ideally positioned to explore Dubrovnik, Cavtat, and the beaches of the Peljesac peninsular. Or just enjoy swimming form the private platform and cocktails at sunset.

Very helpful and straightforward. Would definitely recommend Croatian Villa Holidays.

Great villa, lovely view

Great villa, lovely view and good facilities. Spacious and well equipped. Pool could do with a larger sunbathing area. Landlord very welcoming and friendly.

Take a boat out to the islands, a must. Lovely restaurants and food. Korcuala town amazing.

Stunning holiday

Thank you once again for a stunning holiday...

Fabulous villa

Fabulous villa, very clean and nice homely touches, with ample towels. Fantastic villa to use for large families or friends going away together, lovely communal areas but you are not on top of each other, outside space is amazing, we all loved the hot tub!! Stella the owner was great sorted out a couple of teething problems straight away and was very helpful with places to eat and taxis.

In a residential area so very quiet, we walked to the coast which took about 15 minutes all downhill, we got taxis back as all up hill, you could walk it but we were on holiday!!

Very helpful staff and arranged or sorted all our queries effectively and in a timely manner.

Justina (Suffolk, UK)  19/09/2017

This villa was very badly designed and equipped, but it did have a lovey view from the upper floor. No privacy except on one small upper terrace; the ground floor terrace and jaccuzi area adjoined the terrace of the neighbouring house and are overlooked. No decent shade on any terrace.

We chose to use the upper flat as it had the views, private terrace and the dishwasher. However the kitchen was incredibly small with no work surface at all (you had to use the hob). The fridge was tiny so we used the one downstairs as well. Both kitchens had smart glasses and plates, but no serving dishes or serving spoons and lacked some basic equipment such as can opener, mixing bowl.

Further from the beach than we expected (not 150 metres as stated on the website ) and down a very steep hill. Excellent harbour for mooring a boat nearby; very good restaurant at the bottom of the hill 'Pasarella' . Solta is lovely!

Lovely villa in beautiful position

Lovely villa in beautiful position within walking distance of restaurants, shops and bus stop. Well equipped and very comfortable.

Beautiful location close to the village. Short walk to restaurants and beaches.

Prompt and efficient service.

Susan (East Sussex, UK)  15/09/2017

Although I was a little surprised at how much smaller the ground floor and outside area of the villa looked compared to the photos online, once we had settled in and adjusted, we fully appreciated its location which was perfectly quiet and tranquil and in the end, very hard to leave!

Having said that, it was a very well organised living space with the kitchen and living room continuing out on to the terrace and eating area. This and the heavenly view of the sea made the villa very special.

We were very impressed with the extremely well-equipped, modern kitchen with every implement imaginable and all the bedrooms were very comfortable, clean and light with ideal storage space and lovely balconies upstairs.

Croatian Villas Holidays and the owners of the villa could not have done more to accommodate us with arrival & departure times which we were very appreciative of. The owners came out immediately when we told them the ice machine wasn't working and were simply charming. We were very impressed all round.

We could not have exceeded the beautiful, charming cove Villa Angelina sits in. This is a very special spot and in walking distance of some very good bars and restaurants.

Croatian Villas Holidays could not have done more to accommodate us with arrival & departure times which we were very appreciative of. We were very impressed all round.

Very happy with Villa Zadie and the complex as a whole.

Kevin (UK)  11/09/2017

Lovely spacious villa in delightful position

Lovely spacious villa in delightful position. Wonderful terrace overlooking the sea, where we took all our meals. Couldn't fault it and hope to return some day.

Close to beach, good restaurants and supermarket. Easy drive to Korcula Town

Christopher   10/09/2017

Disappointing that entry was not allowed till 4pm

Very quiet at Night

John (UK)  07/09/2017

Response from Croatian Villa Holidays:

John. Unfortunately we have to stick to a 4pm check in to allow enough time for the villa to be properly cleaned and prepared for you.

Very well appointed villa

The villa was very well appointed and the owners extremely helpful

The villa's location meant that we had the full advantage of any sea breezes

We would be happy to use the company again

Richard (UK)  07/09/2017

A beautiful and peaceful location

Villa was decorated to a high standard with good amenities very clean and welcoming feeling when you entered. Outside was very spacious and well maintained with plenty of eating and sitting areas. Pool was lovely with lots of sun beds which were very comfortable.

Set in beautiful location very peaceful.

Rural location with a few bars and restaurants in short driving distance not walking distance. Beyond few miles lovely shingle beaches and small towns you can explore.

Sign off main road to villa is only visual from one direction so near on impossible to see when approaching from map directions has to be worked out by distance as you will miss.

Julie   07/09/2017

The villa Issa was a good size for a large group (7 people) inside, however, the building has lots of stairs and which are open planned in places so not at all suitable for children. Internally it was quite dark. The kitchen was poorly equipped for holiday makers. The pool was clean however the sun loungers were not comfortable.

The local lady who greeted us was very helpful and easy to contact.

Villa Issa is at the very end of a dead end road so difficult to turn the car around. The area was really for locals. The nearest shops and restaurant were not suitable - we needed to drive to anything acceptable.

Alex and Helen   07/09/2017

Overall it was a lovely villa which was clean and comfortable and had great facilities. The hosts were welcoming, charming, helpful and informative. They also responded quickly to our queries. The rooms were spacious and beds comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The bathrooms were also good generally, although some of the shower screens did not always keep water out as well as they might have done!

The kitchen worked reasonably well (once we had figured out the touch control hob). Some storage for food would have been good, as we had to keep our provisions out on the worktop as nowhere to put things. The fridge wasn't so good and after we had done a big shop it seemed to struggle to keep everything cool enough. Some more glasses for soft drinks would have been helpful (and perhaps less coffee cups!)

The games room downstairs was fab. The children loved this and spent lots of time especially playing table tennis and darts. This is a great addition to a family villa and offers a respite out of the sun on hot days.

The outside was very nicely laid out and we enjoyed the garden, mini golf and the fabulous basketball court. The outside kitchen and dining area was also lovely and the barbecue was well used and enjoyed by all of us. The hot tub was brilliant and our family really enjoyed chilling out in it. Perhaps the pool could have been heated a little more but otherwise it was lovely and well kept.

All lovely. Great beaches. We enjoyed visiting Pula, Porec and went to Fasana several times as found the beach and port very charming.

Geraldine   07/09/2017

Nothing nearby but clean water and a beautiful view

For those who love swimming and to be away from major tourist activity, this is perfect. We enjoyed everything about it.

There is nothing nearby but clean water and a beautiful view. A few kilometres away are beachside villages which are very popular with holiday makers. Zadar is half an hour away by car if you want cultural activity.

Julie (UK)  06/09/2017

Fabulous location

The villa is in a fabulous location. Built in a 'grand designs' style to maximise the view from all over the villa. A wonderful infinity pool with the spectacular view. I would highly recommend this villa.

The villa is in the middle of Istria. The beach at Novigrad is 25 minutes away, Opatija an hour the opposite way. Slovenia is a 25 minute drive and Trieste no more than an hour. Some great hill tops villages near by with great little kobonas serving great food.

When we were deciding which villa and where to stay Croatia Villa Holidays were great to chat our choices through. From beginning to end their services were personal and professional

The Old Stone Villas were lovely

The Old Stone Villas were lovely. They were clean and well maintained and the layout of the apartments suited us very well.

The air conditioning was very efficient (which was good as it was 38 - 42 degrees whilst we were there). The beds were comfortable with good linen and the bath / shower rooms clean, well maintained and well equipped. The pools were good although one of the steps had a sharp edge which caught a few of us out. There were enough loungers for us all and the orientation of the villas meant that you could always find shade if you needed to. The kitchens were basic but had everything needed for a self catering holiday including dishwashers. Some of the apartments do not have freezers but as you have access to all of the apartments as part of the booking, this did not matter too much. It was good to have the washing machine in the utility room by the pool. The stone bbqs worked well and there was plenty of wood supplied. We travelled as a party of 16 with 5 young children and everyone had a fabulous time. Anna and Joseph (the owners of the villas) were lovely and were very happy to replenish bbq wood, towels, etc. during the week. They were also very helpful on check out day. We would be delighted to visit Old Stone Villa again.

The location of the villas was good. We were close enough to walk to the nearest beach and it was only a short drive to the supermarket. There was plenty of parking space at the villas and although the neighbouring villas were quite close, we were not overlooked. We had a day trip on Anna and Joseph's boat which was very reasonably priced. They provided lots of local food and drink and took us to a great spot for snorkeling and swimming from the boat. Croatia is beautiful. The food, scenery, weather and people were amazing.

I did not use the website beyond finding the villa. All my dealings on the telephone with Croatian Villa Holidays were excellent. The phone was answered promptly, you could usually speak to someone at the weekend, and the staff were helpful. The staff I spoke to had been to the villas and were very knowledgeable. I would certainly book with Croatian Villa Holidays again.

In a word superb!

In a word superb! We wanted something special for a truly relaxing break and Villa Vicky delivered. The villa is charming and very clean. The outside areas are beautifully maintained and cared for with everything one needs. It really is a little oasis: secluded, beautiful and very quiet (between the passionate bell ringing sessions from the local church tower) The small port of Milna is a delight in a non-commercial non-nightclub way. Only 3 mins from the villa you have a beautiful little marina port with about 10 restaurants and some bars most of which, if not on the waterfront have pretty views of the boats and water. Ivan is a perfect host, ready to help but not intrusive; all his recommendations were very good. We hired a boat one day and Ivan kindly escorted us to the family's private land which sits at the head of an inlet where we enjoyed a lovely day sunbathing and swimming in clear waters. We are a family of 4, my wife and I and our son and daughter had a lovely room each although the Villa could comfortably accommodate 6. Conie, a small sociable tortoise, charmed us all. I would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone who wants a quality break. Treat yourselves - we will again!

A stunning villa in an equally wonderful location

Villa Mimosa is a stunning villa in an equally wonderful location, the beautiful, unspoilt seaside village of Mali Ston. It has been refurbished with great care, providing modern comfort and plenty of space while protecting its magical atmosphere.

Its outside areas are gems. The shaded terrace is a lovely spot in which to have meals or to sit, talk, read and relax. Its position is superb with great views of the surrounding landscape. You get a real sense of local atmosphere as the villa & its garden nestle on the outskirts of the village while also being totally private and blissfully quiet. The pool area was equally enjoyed by all the family, including children aged 3 to 8.

One of our happiest family holidays. I couldn't recommend Villa Mimosa enough.

There were lots of fun local trips - wineries, castle battlement walks, the historical salt pans, boating to local islands, great restaurants in the village and in nearby Ston, stunning coastline with both fun beaches and wild spots to swim from. Dubrovnik is a very easy day trip from this villa also.

One of the best family holidays we have enjoyed anywhere

I am writing to let you know how much we enjoyed our recent stay in Villa Lozna on Brac. Our party consisted of me and my wife, son and daughter, son-in-law and 2 granddaughters aged 3 and 5. Our arrival from Split went smoothly and we had no problems finding the villa and settling in. Daniella was very helpful throughout not only in the villa but in offering suggestions for excursions, restaurants and shopping. The weather was very hot throughout but the villa provided plenty of shade and the pool was well utilised particularly by the little ones who spent most of their time in it! There were some issues with the aircon in some of the rooms but these were resolved quickly with Daniella's help and did not impinge on our holiday. All in all, this was one of the best family holidays we have enjoyed anywhere and we would all recommend both Brac and Villa Lozna to anyone.

A family home with everything you need

A real family home with everything you need. Great variety of eating areas within the villa. Pool is fabulously located and plenty of shade if needed. Parking is good at back of villa. Owner very helpful and responsive.

Secluded and private yet with easy access to local amenities

Always responded quickly with accurate information. Recommendation for car hire spot on.

The most wonderful holiday in the most perfect place

Mali Ston is the most enchanting, ancient, village with a castle and a fortified wall running across the hill to Ston. Villa Katarina is a beautiful old house in the village - just below the castle and at the start of the fortified wall which runs across the hill to Ston. It has been superbly renovated, retaining its character but with all the modern comforts. We had arrived in the dark and opening the shutters in the morning to an amazing view of the sea (even better than in the photograph) is something we'll never forget. We were there with our two adult daughters (who were very comfortable on beds in the sitting room) but it would also be perfect for a romantic getaway. It's a few steps down to the sea for swimming and there are several excellent restaurants in the village. And there's so much to see and do nearby - for all ages. There are sandy beaches, and rocky outcrops for more adventurous swimming, vineyards, wonderful scenery, very pretty villages - and, of course, Dubrovnik. If you go there, be sure to go up in the funicular. We had lunch in the excellent restaurant at the top, gazing down on the historic city. We can't wait to go back to Villa Katarina! We were also lucky enough to visit Villa Mimosa, where our son and his family were staying. That too is beautiful.

The villa more than lived up to our expectations.

The villa is very modern, extremely well equipped and finished to the highest standards. We found the villa more than lived up to our expectations.

The hosts actually added to the enjoyment of our stay. They were not interfering but were incredibly helpful and hospitable.

The villa is well situated, close to but not overwhelmed by the small town of Omis. There is a delightful beach and beach bar restaurant a very short walk from the villa. It is a very pleasurable 20 minute stroll into the centre of Omis.

We booked at the very last minute having been scammed on a villa that we booked through Airbnb (my advice is don't however tempting it may seem, by the way). Nigel and the team at Croatian Villa Holidays worked incredibly hard to help us find something suitable. They have fantastic knowledge of the area, the villas and the hosts. They provide the due diligence that villa agents, big and small should provide as a matter of course. The service was largely provided over the weekend and you get to speak to real people who absolutely know what they are talking about. They most definitely seemed to be on our side. In the end the advice and the property they found for us absolutely exceeded our expectations. When we decide to return to Croatia, we wouldn't go anywhere else to find our accommodation.

Gary (UK)  16/08/2017

Response from Croatian Villa Holidays:

Gary, You have been very generous in your comments about the service you received from Croatian Villa Holidays. Thank you. We were very pleased to have been able to help you out of a situation that could have ruined your holiday.

Modern spacious villa with beach just down the track

Modern, spacious. Air con was great to have. The outside space was lovely - huge patio, big pool, nice eating terraces and table tennis table.

Beach just down the track - not the best in the area but quite quiet and nice to have so near. The next bay round back towards the town was beautiful for swimming - sandy bottom made the water very pretty. Ideally shops and restaurants would be a bit nearer to walk to (half hour to the main beach in Supetar, bit further to the harbour) - but then the peaceful location was a plus, so maybe you can't have everything. Very easy to drive to shops. All the little harbour towns we visited were very pretty.

Perfect place for a family stay

We have just left this beautiful villa after a five nights and can't fault it. The bedrooms are a good size with two being slightly larger. The kitchen was well equipped with a good large fridge. The pool was wonderful, the weather was really hot and we all spent as much time as possible there. Air-con in each of the bedrooms as well as in the lounge kept us sane and enabled us to sleep. The location is great, although the walk back from the old town was steep (manageable though). I have to mention the great service both before we arrived and during our stay. The manager cared for us beautifully. We will definitely return!

Amanda A.    12/08/2017

The swimming pool is excellent

All conveniences, air conditioning is available in every room, full comfort. The swimming pool is excellent and kept clean daily. Wi-fi is available. Kitchens are well equipped. Complete for 10 persons, 4 rooms with double beds and 1 room with two single beds. Parking for 4 cars.

If you like steep paths and rocky mountain sides with pebble beaches without any shade you will love it. Sea is clean. No restaurants in walking distance.

Ferenc (Hungary)  09/08/2017

Lovely spacious villa

Lovely spacious villa for 2 families of 5. Nicely appointed, decorated and furnished. Quiet area but perfect for family groups and the view with the sea in the distance was gorgeous.

Very minor point as mostly the villa was very well equipped, but a few more spoons wouldn't go amiss (there were only 9 and there were 10 of us!). Also more than 2 tea towels would be good but again very minor. On whole as excellent and by the end of week we realised how clean it was at the start! Ivona was also very friendly and helpful at check in and when we had no hot water.

Beaches not great in this part of Croatia but plenty of restaurants and other towns and villages to visit.

Vanessa   09/08/2017

Extremely comfortable and very spacious. Fantastic to have an en suite in every room. Air con was less efficient in the two biggest rooms which only mattered because there was a heat wave the week we were there.

We arrived to find food in the fridge compliments of the owner which was a lovely surprise. The maid service every day was brilliant.

Thanks to Milka and Simon we were pointed in the right direction for lunches and dinners. We rented a boat for the week so had lunches out and mainly BBQ suppers.

All very helpful and very friendly. Thank you.

Loved the villa and location

Loved the villa and location, so close to Zlatni Rat beach. Easy to swim before breakfast when it was quiet and then good in the late afternoon when the party vibe got going. Grown up kids loved it and Bol a great village with lots of watersports, parasailing and donutting close to hand. Pool was excellent and much used. The comment on the advertisement saying we could pick any fruit/veg in the garden was exaggerated. We didn't find anything to pick! Lucky there were only 5 of us, and not 7, as there might have been. The advertised self contained annexe with a bedroom, kitchenette is now a storage facility. We were intending to use it as we have 3 very tall children and 2 had to share a double bed instead. The A/C was just about ok, though granted it was a very hot week. The bedrooms were very hot and stuffy as the nearest A/C unit was at the end of the corridor, so no bedrooms had it. Also, the 'waterfall' spout into the pool was not working. So, facilities good as far as they went but slight misrepresentation regarding how many the villa slept.

Excellent location only 2 minutes walk from the sea and Zlatni Rat beach

Very efficient and friendly staff

Virginia   08/08/2017

Response from Croatian Villa Holidays:

Virginia, thanks for your helpful review. We have corrected the description of the accommodation and removed the reference to picking fruit given your experience.

Beautiful villa

Beautiful villa, stylish (if slightly dark) interior, and a lovely pool. High degree of privacy yet convenient for Porec and Rovinj. The owner was very helpful and gave us full instructions on the house and its facilities.

Very isolated with only one neighbouring house, yet easy to reach from Pula airport and convenient for major attractions

Everything we could possibly wish for

Very modern, clean and with everything we could possibly wish for!

Nice location, great views, a coupld of supermarkets with everything you need and a couple of lovely local restaurants within walking distance.

Excellent service and very helpful

The view is spectacular

Best Villa we have rented to date. Any issues were dealt with quickly by the owner who lives onsite.

The view is spectacular, the local restaurant,15 min walk away is very good. There are a few unfinished houses on the track to the villa which is not so nice to see, but overall, very good.
