This is a luxurious, typical Dubrovnik stone villa with 200 square metres of living space and 2000 square metres (half an acre) of luscious Mediterranean garden. The villa is 100 years old and has been fully renovated and sumptuously furnished in the typical country villa style, with comfort and beauty in mind. The villa is very imposing and has an elegant front door with a pillared porch in front and a sea view balcony above it.
The ground floor is spacious and includes an elegant hallway, a large sitting/dining room and a separate classic solid wood kitchen and a guest WC. The sitting room is of good proportions and high ceilings, a marble fireplace, beautiful polished old oak floors and several floor to ceiling French windows which open out onto the magnificent garden. It has two leather sofas, original paintings and lighting, rugs, and a satellite TV/DVD player.
In the dining room there is a round dining table that can happily seat 8 people. From the sitting room a glass doorway leads into the tiled kitchen, fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, cooker, hob, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, cooking utensils and elegant plates, glassware and cutlery. A guest cloakroom/WC is also on the ground floor.
An elegant stone staircase leads to the first floor landing, from where you access four double bedrooms, each with a double bed, wonderful bed linen and plenty of bathroom towels provided. The main bedroom is really special as it opens out onto a beautiful balcony to enjoy the view of the lovely garden and the sea. The balcony has outdoor table and chairs. It feels great.
First floor bedroom terrace
There are also three other double bedrooms, all with quality wood flooring and nice views. The bedrooms share a large bathroom with a bathtub and another new modern shower room.
The garden is a particular asset of this villa. It is very private, surrounded with a stone wall and has a circular heated swimming pool, sun loungers and sun umbrellas. It is planted with mature old oak trees, olives, palms and many wonderful scented herbs. It provides deep shade in the summer and it is a delight. There is a barbecue and outdoor dining table and chairs.
