The villa can be used as two 3 bedroom apartments, or a 6 bedroom villa. Private boat mooring. Internet. Sleeps 12-14 in total.

For many generations the owners of this villa have promoted and nurtured the beauty and special charm of the Croatian island of Hvar, voted by travel experts to be among the top ten islands in the world. The family’s love for the island is reflected in the vast tracts of wild and beautiful Mediterranean parkland that they have developed over decades and nurtured in the countryside around Hvar, and they have created a smaller version of that parkland in the 1000 square metres of sumptuous garden of Villa Rainbow. The villa is a few metres away from the sea, and after crossing the local road in front of the villa, you will walk down the steps directly to the sea, where you can swim, and where you can moor a small boat.

Inside the villa, cool rooms and many bathrooms provide modern comfort, and the fantastic works of art throughout the house combine magically with sea views. Garden terraces and the outdoor summer kitchen allow you to spend wonderful time cooking and dining alfresco, surrounded by the amazing garden and pine woods. You are only about 15 mins walk from the town centre with its famous nightlife, culture and restaurants.

ACCOMMODATION

The villa is laid out on two floors and arranged as two separate 3 bedroom apartments (300m square each). The apartments are linked by an indoor staircase and the villa is suitable to be rented as one unit of 600m square metres.

Ground floor

An open plan kitchen- diner and a sitting room have a large sliding door which leads out onto a spacious south facing garden terrace, also furnished with a large dining table. The kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge- freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and plenty of good cooking utensils, plates and glassware. Washing machine and hair dryer are also provided separately. The sitting room contains sofa and chairs, satellite TV/D VD player, home cinema, and internet connection.

A main bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite shower room is equipped with a wardrobe and a coffee table with armchairs. This bedroom has its own private garden terrace. In addition, there is a second double bedroom and a twin bedroom, which share a shower room. The bedrooms are decorated with original paintings which evoke seaside colours of blue and green. A second terrace tiled with black and white tiles, is covered and provides an outdoor dining table and chairs for 12-14 people.

A sunny sitting room opens out onto a veranda, with table and chairs. Several sofas and chairs provide plentiful seating, and the TV/DVD/music player. A gleaming white kitchen diner overlooks the garden and also opens out onto a covered terrace for dining.

Three double bedrooms face south and have breath taking sea views. Each bedroom has a French door opening out onto a terrace that sweeps along the whole length of the villa and has outdoor furniture. Two bedrooms have double beds, and one has twin beds. On this floor there is a separate bathroom with a bath and shower, and another with a shower. The upstairs bedrooms have warm sunny colours of summer and wood parquet floors. All have lovely sea views. Two spacious bathrooms are on this floor.

OUTSIDE

Garden

This villa has an enchanting garden. It is surrounded by pine woods, and the scent of pine and sea is felt throughout its garden. The sea is glimpsed shimmering through the trees. The garden is full of exotic Mediterranean and tropic plants, such as numerous palms, bougainvillea, hibiscus, wisteria, lilies, oleander, many scented herbs and flowers. Shaded paths lead you through the garden.

Pool

A 24 square metre blue mosaic pool is heated in cooler months and is equipped with sun beds and pool towels. Hammocks, coffee table and a table tennis table are by the pool.

There are relaxing terraces in front of many rooms and bedrooms and also in the garden.

Summer kitchen

Great place to cook and socialise outside. Guests are very happy to spend time there and enjoy dining in the sunny garden or sitting in the shade of the covered terrace of the summer kitchen. There is also a barbecue and outdoor oven.

Beaches

You can swim in the sea just below the house, and you can also moor a small boat there. About 200 metres from the villa is a very nice beach made of small pebbles. There are plenty of other beaches in town, and the nearby islands offer a whole range of wonderful, sandy and pebbly coves, easily reached by boat and water taxies from Hvar.

BOATING

Small boats can be hired from the main coastal towns and resorts. The coastline and inshore islands are ideal for exploring by small boat. To hire a motor boat you will require an appropriate licence or you will need to hire a skipper. For more information visit our Charter page.

PRICES & AVAILABILITY

All prices are in euro (EUR) and for the whole villa based on Saturday to Saturday bookings. Tourist tax is extra at a rate of approx 1 euro per person per day.

Please enquire for prices of individual apartments if you wish to rent a single apartment for up to 6 people.
