The little house is over 450 years old and is situated in a car-free zone in one of the quiet cobbled streets of the old town of Stari Grad on the island of Hvar, which itself is very beautiful and serene. The house has 90 square metres of living area and 200 square metres of leafy walled garden. It is surrounded by old medieval winding streets and tiny squares, and only one half of a mile from the beach. The villa has been lovingly renovated and tastefully furnished with a mixture of local antiques and new comfortable beds. The thick old walls of the villa make the house cool in the summer, and the overall colour scheme of honey coloured stone, pale wood floors, crisp blue and white linens reflect the natural Adriatic palette. The leafy secluded garden with the view of the pinewood hills makes this a perfect summer retreat.

ACCOMMODATION
Ground floor
The house has a sitting room, dining area and a kitchen on the ground floor. A stone covered floor and exposed stone walls give this home a rustic touch and are aesthetically very pleasing. Sitting room has a relaxing sofa and is equipped with a smart music system but there is no TV. A lovely old wood dining table sits six people. The rustic kitchen is provided with a cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, blender, coffee machine, toaster, ice maker, iron and a set of spices. Very nice plates and glassware and good cooking utensils are provided.

First floor
A wooden staircase leads to the first floor with three bedrooms and a bathroom. Please note that the two bedrooms with double beds are interconnected, and there is no doorway between them. The third bedroom has two single beds and complete privacy. Thus in some cases, this villa may be suitable for 4 persons only, and sometimes for 6 people. A lovely fresh bathroom with bath and shower is shared by the bedrooms and plenty of towels are provided. Also all the bed linen is provided and is of good quality.

OUTSIDE
The villa has a courtyard garden with a stone patio and a grass area with many plants and trees. A barbecue is in one corner of the garden, and a large outdoor dining table can seat 12 people. A green creeper pergola provides the shade from the summer sun.

Parking is in the nearby car park, as the villa is in a pedestrianized zone. Having a car is not essential, and not necessary as all shops and other amenities are within a minute walk from the villa, and the beach within a walking distance.
The nearest beach is 700 metres (about ½ mile) away and can be reached by a nice coastal path. The area abounds with excellent sandy and pebbly beaches.
Amenities
All the shops, supermarkets, fresh market, doctor, chemist, bank etc. are at your doorstep, just 1-5 min walk. Many cafes and ice-cream shops with outdoor seating are very close.
The town is full of good restaurants, many specialising in excellent fresh fish. It is also an elegant town with a vibrant night life.
Tennis courts are nearby and can be rented.
Sea sports such as scuba diving, windsurfing and others are available.
Ferries go to Split, Brac, Korcula, Dubrovnik.

BOATING
Small boats can be hired from the main coastal towns and resorts. The coastline and inshore islands are ideal for exploring by small boat. To hire a motor boat you will require an appropriate licence or you will need to hire a skipper. For more information visit our Charter page.
