OVERVIEW

Villa Maestral is a wing of a town villa. It is a two bedroom, two bathroom air conditioned villa situated in a wonderful position in the town of Dubrovnik, within walking distance (1.5km) of Dubrovnik Old Town and all its attractions. It has a panoramic sea view, over Dubrovnik Gruz harbour and local islands. The villa has a pleasant and airy interior, surrounded by a shady garden and pool with complete privacy.

Accommodation

Lower floor

About 20 steps lead to the house and a spacious sitting room, modern kitchen, a bathroom and a large terrace. The kitchen is equipped to a high standard, with a fridge/freezer, oven, hob, kettle, toaster, grill, microwave oven and all the cooking equipment, plates and glasses. In the sitting room, there is plenty of seating for six, and cable TV/DVD player, music centre and internet are provided.

Upper floor

A spiral staircase takes you to the upper floor, and from a small hallway you can access two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. In addition there is a large bathroom on this floor and a small terrace.

Outside

Garden and Pool

The Villa has a wonderful garden and a 8 by 4 metre swimming pool.  Behind the villa is a summer kitchen with a terrace for dining outside. On the terrace there is an outdoor sitting and dining area with wooden tables and chairs. A stone wall and tall greenery surrounding the pool and garden area offer some privacy, a rare find in Dubrovnik. The pool has an inbuilt jet current to provide extra exercise while swimming, if you wish. Comfortable wooden sun beds, sun umbrellas and pool towels are provided by the pool, as well as an outside shower, table and chairs.

“ When we walked in the overall exclamation was "WOW"! There were 4 of us staying and plenty of room. Lounge area was very comfortable and spacious. Bedrooms were very comfortable (but we did find the mattresses very hard) and there was plenty of storage space. The pool was a fantastic asset, especially after walking up all the steps from the town. It was great to have a dual aspect for sitting out, eating and relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped, although I couldn't find a grill pan or baking tray. It would have been useful to have instructions for using the electrical goods as some equipment very different to UK. Overall we were so pleased with the villa, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and I personally did not want to go home! ”

“ Great position for accessing the old town and marina. Plenty of restaurants in all price ranges. We particularly enjoyed Bon Appetit
(great food and so reasonably priced) and Amfora (slightly dearer, but not too expensive, great food). Visit to islands highly
recommended, and of course walking the walls of the old town (early). Fantastic walking, but not for the feint hearted! ”

Dubrovnik Airport

Dubrovnik Airport is located near the town of Cavtat 19km to the south of Dubrovnik. There are direct flights to Dubrovnik from most European countries and from Philadelphia in the USA.

 

There are bus and taxi services into Dubrovnik centre. A taxi transfer can be expected to cost around 35 to 40 euro one way depending on the time of day and the season and a minibus around 50-60 euros.   A shuttle bus service from the airport to Dubrovnik is 7.5 euro per person each way.
