The sumptuous apartment Villa Maya is situated on the first floor of an exclusive listed villa which sits in a large Mediterranean garden stretching down to the seaside path and the sea. The villa was originally built in 1900 for an Austrian nobleman and recently fully renovated. The whole villa consists of only four such apartments.

The apartment has been renovated under the guidance of the Heritage Ministry of Croatia. Thus, whilst it provides every modern luxury, it has retained all the original features indoors and outside. All the cornicing and decorative details have been retained and restored, the lighting and chandeliers are original 1900 examples, and the furniture also comes from this era. On the other hand, the two kitchens that this apartment contains are modern Berloni Italian kitchens, and the bathrooms are luxury Villeroy and Boch. Outside, the loggias and window details are original and the facade painted in one of the period colours.

ACCOMMODATION
Situated on the first floor of a luxury villa.
The whole apartment is very spacious, with high ceilings, large glass doors, and has an area of 210 square metres.
The apartment has two sitting rooms, of which one or both can also be used for sleeping because they contain large sofa beds which sleep two persons each. The sitting rooms open out onto a wonderful large terrace – loggia with fabulous views of the garden and the sea and suitable for outdoor dining. There are tow bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The sitting rooms are light an airy, have opulent parquet flooring and are of immense proportions, typical of the period they were built in. Great feature windows allow plenty of light and sunshine into the sitting rooms. An antique dining room table in each sitting room makes it possible to eat there as well as in the kitchen.

Floor to ceiling windows and doors open out onto the loggia and the great vistas of the sea and islands. All the furniture is comfortable and tasteful, in keeping with the villa. There is a sat TV with a DVD player and a music system in the sitting rooms.

The kitchens have a dining table and are new and contain all the usual equipment – hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and a coffee machine as well as good quality plates, cutlery and glassware. Dining is also possible in the large sitting rooms and on the terraces, which have their own dining tables.

Bedrooms are equally spacious and luxuriously furnished with large double beds and luxury bed linen. The apartment has two bathrooms. Each bathroom is elegant with white tiles and black marble, in keeping with the original décor. New sanitary ware and bathroom furniture are of very high quality.

OUTSIDE
The villa has a very spacious fenced garden of 2500sqm ( over half an acre) , with a special area designated for the use of the guests of Maya apartment. There is a barbecue, a stone table and benches in that part of the garden exclusively for the use of Maya guests. From the garden there is direct access to the seaside path and then to the paved sunbathing platform, with and outside shower and for the exclusive use of the guests. The sea is clean and wonderful to swim in.

The apartment has a dedicated sea sunbathing area just outside the villa, and directly leading to the sea.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Parking is in the public car park very close to the villa
- Pets are not permittd
BOATING
Boat hire and skippered excursions are available locally and the villa has its own mooring for tying up a boat.
