A four bedroom, three bathroom luxury modern air-conditioned villa in a sought-after area of Split, with a garden, sea views and close to the beach and town. Internet provided. Sleeps 8.
Villa Meya is a very attractive, stylish modern building made of white stone from the nearby island of Brac. Clean horizontal lines of the white house sit attractively in a simple green grass lawn, surrounded by mature palm trees and Mediterranean shrubbery. Quality materials of stone, wood and Italian marble are used inside the villa, which is extremely light and spacious. The villa is in an urban setting, surrounded by similar villas and apartments, but also plenty of greenery and woodland, as it sits between the sea and a wonderful park on a hill, with many pleasant walks. From the top floor you have a good sea view. It is a few minute walk to a nearby beach and to the town centre with its excellent shops, restaurants, cultural events, antiquities and a lively night life.

ACCOMMODATION
The villa is arranged on three floors and surrounded by a pretty garden. A wrought iron gate opens into the garden and a path with a few stone steps lead to the covered main door at the side of the villa. The overall feel inside the villa is one of elegance, relaxation, cool and light, a very calm interior.
Ground floor
Once inside, the whole ground floor is a large open space, with polished mellow oak boards covering the floor throughout. At the front of the living space are three vast modern cream sofas, arranged around a very large TV screen which is built into a wall. The whole of the front wall of this room is filled with two large French windows which open out onto the large stone paved terrace with excellent outdoor table and chairs. This wall can be entirely covered with shimmering white lace curtains, which look very attractive in light summer breeze. To one side of the sitting zone is a separate study with a desk and chair, computer connection and internet. The kitchen is set towards the back of the living room and consists of an elegant set of many white lacquered storage units and all the equipment for gourmet cooking. There is a fridge freezer, cooker, hob, dishwasher, microwave cooker, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and all the cooking utensils. A very attractive set of plates, glasses and cutlery is also provided.

Between the kitchen and a sitting room there is a modern, heavy, wood dining table and eight dining chairs. Here there is an interesting use of a Venetian antique style crystal glass chandelier above the table centre, a very attractive contrast to the modernity of the villa. Utility room with storage, a washing machine and downstairs WC is positioned just off the kitchen area.

First floor
An oak wooden staircase leads to the first and the second floors. All the bedrooms have warm oak flooring. On the first floor the main feature is a large master bedroom with a fabulous master bathroom. Master bedroom has a large double bed with excellent bed linen, bedside cabinets and a spacious wardrobe, and large glass doors opening out onto a big white stone terrace, with sea view. The en-suite bathroom is spacious and has an elegant set of white bathroom sanitary ware, modern high quality taps, showers and floor and wall tiles. All the towels and bed linens are provided. The second bedroom is a small double bedroom, suitable for children. This bedroom has not got its own bathroom, but shares the en-suite bathroom for the master bedroom.

On the second floor are two good size bedrooms each with its own wonderful shower room. They are sumptuously furnished and have plenty of storage space, bed linen and towels and the front bedroom has good sea views.

OUTSIDE
Garden and terraces
A garden goes all around the house and is laid down in terraces. It is a green and refreshing garden, with a barbecue and dining table and chairs under a pergola. In the front of the villa a large stone paved terrace has two sets of wicker tables and armchairs, and sun umbrellas. The villa is also expected to have a pool by the summer of 2012.

BOATING
Small boats can be hired from the main coastal towns and resorts. The coastline and inshore islands are ideal for exploring by small boat. To hire a motor boat you will require an appropriate licence or you will need to hire a skipper. For more information visit our Charter page.
