GUEST REVIEWS

... fresh figs from the tree for breakfast every morning - what a treat!!!

The photos don't do it justice! Very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The pool and various terraces were all very much appreciated (as was the air conditioning!). And fresh figs from the tree for breakfast every morning - what a treat!!! A couple of very minor things: the grill function on the oven didn't work properly and the shower in en-suite bathroom, in the twin room was a mere trickle. We would have no hesitation in recommending both the villa and the company and we hope to return soon. Many thanks for a wonderfully relaxing stay.

Beautifully peaceful and secluded yet only a 5 minute drive to the local amenities. Perfect location for exploring the peninsula. We enjoyed visits to Mljet and Korcula. The beach at Prapratno was lovely for swimming (though busy). Late afternoon drinks at Konoba Mandrac in Broce was one of the highlights of our holiday (and the food was also great).

The Villa was well equipped ...

The Villa was well equipped, with towel for the pool, candles for outside, a lot of movies to watch, all the kitchen accessory to prepare good meals!

A great place to come with a group of friends or family

I visited Villa Salome with a group of friends in April. It is an easy drive along the coast from either Dubrovnik or Split, situated just far enough away from the thronging masses of Game of Thrones enthusiasts to allow you to completely relax. The villa is well kitted-out with comfy beds and a generous living space. The kitchen has so much gear that even the most exacting cook should be able to prepare gourmet meals - try the oysters from Mali Ston - they're out of this world. The villa sits in the tree covered folds of the mountains that rise from the sea in this area and it is only a five minute stroll to the nearest paddling spot. There are some stunning secluded beaches a little further afield (if you're feeling brave in your hire car). It would be serenely quiet in the evening if it weren't for the nightjars, jackels and Scops owls...This place is a great place to come with a group of friends or family - it's not in the middle of a bustling town with a throbbing nightlife, but if you can live without that, it is the sort of place you would want to keep coming back to time and again.

The villa was excellent and fulfilled our expctions

The villa was very well described and fulfilled all our expectations.

We did not stir far from it as the children loved the pool. We climbed the Ston walls and visited two recommended restaurants one in Ston and one in Mali Ston.

Beautiful secluded villa combining easy access to the sea and surrounded by mountains.Must walk the walls in Ston make sure you check ahead if you are going over to Mali Ston the gate is open at the other end or be prepared for a long walk back! A car is essential to see the real beauty of the Croatian Peninsula. Villa Salome was truly beautiful, home from home in the sunshine.

We had a most wonderful time in Villa Salome and the standard of the villa was very high. It felt like we actually staying in someone's lovely home. We loved the books, the picture etc. that really lend the place a personal touch. We were also very impressed with the equipment (from cutlery to pool chairs) at Villa Salome, which was all very high quality and there was plenty of it. The local care taker was wonderful and she was so helpful. The location of the villa is stunning and we loved its secludedness and yet we had ready access to restaurants and food shopping in Ston. A fantastic place to use as a base for lots of exploration in and around the area. We were very happy with our stay at Villa Salome and can highly recommend it. SW, Glasgow, August 2014

Nice change from Greece. We stayed in the villa at the beginning of July for a two week family holiday. We had never visited Croatia before and were pleased that the peninsula, the aquamarine sea, the seafood and the historical towns were all as lovely as people had said they would be. The beautifully renovated villa is very well equipped, very clean and comfortable with plenty of places to sit in shade or sun and relax in peace and quiet. A short walk away is the beautiful and quiet village of Broce with its jetties which you can swim off or small stony beaches. We often caught the sunset down there with a picnic hamper and swimming things. No restaurants there so very quiet but for more life the lovely old town of Ston is a short and stunning 5 minute drive or half hour stroll across the salt pans. Climb the walls to Mali Ston on a cooler morning, it is worth it. Having travelled all over the peninsula and visited Dubrovnik which is a must, we decided the villa, Broce, Ston and Kobas were our favourite places and all on our doorstep. There are plenty of quiet secluded beaches to find if you want to explore. If you like to get away from the more bustling, touristy type of beach/villa holiday this Croatian experience is the place for you!

We had a wonderful experience there. The villa itself is first class with excellent decor, wonderful layout, a wonderful view and well positioned for peace/tranquillity whilst still having great restaurants and beaches only a drive away. We really enjoyed it. Majority of the family want to go back there next year, with my son being the exception. This is purely because he would like it to be on the beach! I would also call out the quality of the assistance from the couple looking after the villa. They were always available, offered advice and were extremely friendly. The local area around Mali Ston, Ston and the whole of the Peljasec peninsula was excellent as well. Overall, a wonderful experience.
