This is a charming old cottage in a small village in the countryside above Split, carefully renovated in 2012, keeping its original features and Mediterranean simplicity. Nestling close to the family’s vineyards, peach orchard and olive grove, the villa has been a part of this family for generations. It is built from the local stone and has traditionally thick walls, which keep the villa cool in the summer and warm in winter. Green shutters and red curved tile roof together with the white stone façade and sunny blue sky are a perfect picture of a seaside cottage, with the great expanse of the Adriatic below, including the islands of Brac and Hvar. The villa is on three floors, ground floor is kitchen/diner, first floor sitting room, bedroom and shower room on the third floor are two bedrooms and a bathroom.

ACCOMMODATION

Ground floor

A lovely old-fashioned door opens out into a bright and light space, cream floor tiles, pale walls and light furniture. player and a music system. A large white wooden dining table can sit 6-8 people. In one corner is a pale green kitchen with a cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher and many other utensils, nice plates and glassware. A very attractive and spacious semi-spiral staircase leads to the first floor with the sitting room, shower room and a bedroom.

The first floor sitting room is marked by lovely wood parquet and partly exposed stone walls and looks very tasteful. The sitting area has two cream coloured sofas and a few modern chairs. A sofa can be used as another double bed. This corner has a TV/DVD and a music system, but the most stunning aspect of this area is the panoramic uninterrupted view of the sea. In addition, on this floor is a double bedroom and a shower room.

Second floor

Here are two bedrooms with double beds. They are spacious and have sloping white roofs. The style and finish are simple and good quality, wonderful parquet flooring, white walls and exposed stone around some windows. The bedroom windows have an amazing view of the sea and the town of Split. New beds and mattresses are very comfortable and there is plenty of towels and good bed linen and storage space.

OUTSIDE

The villa is surrounded by a paved courtyard and a 300 square metre garden stocked with lavender and rosemary, trees and pot plants. There is a covered terrace with a dining table and an unforgettable view whilst you eat alfresco. There is a second terrace and parking for three cars. The summer has a large pool with sun loungers surrounding.

BOATING

PRICES & AVAILABILITY

All prices are in euro (EUR) and for the whole villa based on Saturday to Saturday bookings. Tourist tax is extra at a rate of approx 1 euro per person per day. A refundable damage deposit of €300 (EUR) is payable on arrival. Minimum stay is three days.
