VILLAS
Skiper Resort Complex, Savudrija, Istria

We are pleased to be able to offer an extensive range of luxury villas (and apartments) in the Skiper Resort Complex at Savudrija near Umag on the north west coast of the Istrian peninsula.

All of the accomodation in this purpose built resort is located within a few hundred metres of the sea and is positioned so that it has stunning views over the Adriatic towards the Slovenian coastline and the Gulf of Trieste.

All villas have access to the sea frontage. The resort facilities include a restaurant and bar, swimming pool, children's pool, tennis courts, beach volleyball courts and a fitness room.

The villas are located in the prime positions with spectacular views and are fitted out and furnished to an extremely high specification.

VILLA ACCOMODATION OPTIONS (3 categories)

De Luxe (Pictures)	:	Each villa has spacious terraces with sea views. One villa in this category is available with a private heated swimming pool. Internal features include flat screen TV, fully fitted kitchen and jacuzzi bath. Accomodation for 4 to 6 people.
Exclusive	:	Same features as De Luxe but positioned in the front row to the sea. Arranged internally either as a single unit with reception rooms downstairs and bedrooms upstairs (Type A) or as two apartments each accomodating 4 to 6 people (Type B). Two Type A villas and one Type B villa are available with private heated swimming pools.
Royal (Details)	:	The Villa Royal sleeps 6 people in 3 double bedrooms each with ensuite bath. This spacious luxury villa is fitted out to the highest possible standard and includes its own sauna, games area, (snooker, table tennis), fitness room, and squash court. The villa is located in the prime position with generous terraces overlooking the sea and a private heated swimming pool. The villa is ideal for entertaining with generous reception areas and a 12 seat dining table. Other facilities include a flat screen TV, Bang and Olufsen hi-fi equipment, elevator to first floor, double garage and security system.

FACILITIES
The resort complex has an extensive sea frontage laid out for swimming and sunbathing. In the centre of the complex just 100m from the shore is a large swimming pool and adjoining children’s pool.

Sports facilities include tennis courts and beach volley ball courts. The resort has its own restaurant, café bar and shop.Additional features are well equipped children’s playground and a church which can be booked for weddings.

GETTING THERE
Savudrija is just over 10 km from the Croatian/Slovenian border, less than 1½ hours drive time from airports at Trieste (Italy), Pula and Rijeka. Ryanair flies daily to Trieste from London Stansted and four times a week to Pula. Easyjet fly to Rijeka airport (on the island of Krk). Croatia Airlines fly to Pula with connections from Zagreb. Globespan fly to Pula from Durham, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

From Scandinavia, Scandjet fly directly to Pula from Stockholm, Gothenburg and Copenhagen.

Airports slightly further away, but still within easy reach, are Ljubljana (Easyjet), Treviso (Ryanair) and Venice Marco Polo (British Airways).

THE SURROUNDING AREA
Umag, just 7 km from Savudrija, is a popular tourist centre focused around a charming mediaeval old town that shows the architectural influence of the Venetians who controlled Umag in the middle ages. Today Umag is also an important sports centre, particularly for tennis, hosting the Croatian ATP tennis championships every July.

Across the bay from Savudrija are the attractive Slovenian coastal towns of Piran and Portoroz. Whilst further down the Croatian coast the attractive towns of Novigrad, Porec, Vrsar and Rovinj are all within reach and well worth visiting.

A short drive inland takes you to one of the most attractive areas of central Istria; an area often compared with Tuscany.

Well worth a visit are Groznjan, an ancient medieval settlement now restored as a centre for arts and music;Oprtalj, a fortified town with a 16th century church and spectacular views over the surrounding countryside; and Motovun, the most commercially developed of the hilltop towns which has a wider range of shops and cafes but is still full of charm. Well marked wine routes lead you through charming countryside to wineries where you can sample some of the best Croatian wines.

Email or telephone us to check availability. To make a reservation you will need to complete the Skiper Resort booking form (PDF format) and return it to us with a cheque (in Euros) for a 30% deposit payable to Ancro Ltd (A direct transfer to our bank can also be arranged). We will confirm your reservation. The balance of the rental will be payable on arrival at the Skiper resort.
