OVERVIEW
If this private, luxury beach villa in Croatia was not so exquisite and stylish, you would be right to call it a "beach hut". It has all the advantages of a tiny beach hut: the position directly on the beach, the sense of freedom and simple outdoor life, the feel of smooth pebbles under your feet, the scent of the sea, fishing boats and yachts passing by. Behind those garden walls, there is a 2018 build new villa in the architectural style of the stone houses of Korcula, a private heated pool, roomy interiors perfect for seaside living, gorgeous bathrooms, fantastic beds, super modern kitchen, air conditioning, WiFi, TVs in all rooms, a barbecue for outdoor dining, parking for 5 cars. The villa is built on three floors, where the first and second floor have fantastic views of the sea. The living space comprises 175 square metres, and it is on a 1100 square metre plot, directly accessing a pebbly beach.
Luxury villa Korcula Melody is situated 37km from Korcula town, which is just a 15 minute ferry ride from Orebic on the mainland, a town famous among seafarers of old, and now a tourist resort. The villa is 14.6km from Vela Luka town. Korcula and Vela Luka are amazing little towns, real jewels of Croatia. Korcula is soaked in history. A Venetian looking town of narrow streets and defensive castellated walls. You can enjoy a cocktail served on the roof of an ancient turret! Vela Luka has a simpler, homelier feel, with little squares, nooks and crannies, markets and above all the fishing boats with their devoted fishermen, bringing in the daily catch. We are in love with both towns, and highly recommend a visit to both. Boating and numerous outdoor activities are at your doorstep.
ACCOMMODATION
Ground floor
A driveway goes from the gate past the pine trees and an olive tree rondella, where you can park your cars and enter the villa without any steps to negotiate. The open plan ground floor is all for indoor-outdoor living, and at the back, a large sliding glass wall opens out onto the pool terrace. All is bright and cool. The modern dining table with an Italian chandelier sits eight people, separating the comfortable sitting area with sofas and armchairs, from the kitchen. The kitchen has a stylish and very useful breakfast bar with three funky bar stools. It is equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, cooker, hob, wine cooler, icemaker, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, microwave, cooking utensils and charming tableware. The wood and glass staircase leads upstairs to four lovely, en-suite bedrooms, two on each floor.
First floor
All the bedrooms are of the same standard, with crisp white linen, towels, excellent showers and amazing sea views. Two of the double beds can be separated into twin beds.
The first floor comprises two double bedrooms with super-king size double beds (180 x 200cm), en-suite shower cubicles and TVs.
Second floor
The second floor has two double bedrooms with super-king size double beds (180 x 200cm), en-suite shower cubicles and TVs.
OUTSIDE
The private garden is fully walled and gated, backing onto a pine wood on one side and beach on the other. There is a heated pool (on request) of 8 by 4 metres, 1.4 metre deep, eight sun loungers, parasols, terracotta pots with natural shrubs and olive trees and pine trees - a very Mediterranean garden. A small stone house at the other end of the pool contains a sauna and gym and a dart board. An outdoor summer kitchen has a wood-fired barbecue and there is an outdoor dining table for 8 people. In one corner of this pretty garden is a lounge area with smart outdoor sofas and tables, where you can enjoy a drink with friends and family.
