Villa Biba is a beach villa, right on the seashore with just a walking path separating it from the sea. This gorgeous, first row from the sea villa is in the lovely small town Orebic, a town famous for seafaring and all to do with the sea. Seafood, sailing, surfing, swimming, boating, unspoilt sandy and pebbly beaches...all at your doorstep. This stunning Croatian villa is one of those places where adults, teenagers and children alike all feel happy. Green olives, vineyards and scents of Mediterranean are all around you, and plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance.

This pleasant and romantic villa has just been renovated and comprises 180 square metres. It is surrounded by a pretty, Mediterranean, walled, private garden with a small pool, with a path leading right out on the beach and into the beautiful sea. A fabulous Juliet balcony looks over the expanse of the sea, and over to the island of Korcula. Parking is in the town car park 50 metres away and there are 2 dedicated parking places, specially for the villa, 300 metres away. This little gem villa is very stylish and beautifully furnished, beautiful wrought iron gates, and the garden is heavenly, a perfect place for your holiday.

Villa Biba - near Orebic

The villa is arranged on two floors and has four double bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Ground floor

From the hallway you enter the sitting room on one side, and the kitchen and dining room are on the other side. This floor also has a pantry, a laundry room with a washing machine, iron and ironing board, and a wonderful new bathroom with heated floor tiles. The sitting room is stunningly stylish, reminding us of the time when wealthy sea captains lived on the seashore of Orebic, except that now it has LCD TV and WiFi. The elegant dining room is equally inviting, with a table for 8 and opening out onto a wonderful, flower scented terrace. The kitchen is modern, clean and well equipped with a fridge/freezer, cooker, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, juicer, kettle, toaster, pretty table ware and good cooking utensils. The kitchen opens out onto a shady terrace with a BBQ and outdoor dining table with chairs.

First floor

A stone stairway leads to the first floor and a hallway from where you access four bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Three bedrooms are with comfortable double beds, and one has twin beds, all with good linen and plenty of towels. There is a cosy sitting area in front of the bedrooms, leading to a fantastic south-facing balcony looking at the palms, bougainvillea and the azure blue sea. The bedrooms are furnished with good double beds and wardrobes, air conditioned and have a stunning sea view.

The garden is beautiful, a few steps to the beach and has a small plunge pool of about 14 square metres, 1.2 metres in depth. The pool is an accessory to the beach outside, with warm clear sea to bathe in. At the back of the villa there is more of the leafy garden, with lovely stone paved terraces and space to all eat and cook al fresco. The garden is incredibly charming and relaxing, a real seaside gem. Beaches Right out side the villa there are wonderfull beaches on a beatiful steach of coastline, with acces only 3 meteres from your front gate.

It was a pleasure to stay there...
The villa was beautiful and very well looked after. It was a pleasure to stay there and the housekeeper ensured everything was in place
and was on hand in case we needed her. We would thoroughly recommend this villa.

About location:

The villa was close to all shops and restaurants as well as the beaches in Orebic. It was also a short trip to visit beautiful Korcula.

Orebic - think grand captain's houses with tropical plants along the sea promenade, long pebbly/sandy beach, romance and fun. That is how we would sum up this wonderful and friendly but elegant small town on the south of the Peljesac peninsula, looking across to the island of Korcula. A great, centuries long maritime tradition has brought prosperity to Orebic, and is still remembered in the town's Maritime Museum. We would recommend Orebic to anyone, but it is especially suitable for families looking for an interesting but safe place to rest and play. The small town with seven fountains abounds with cafes and restaurants, easy to get to beaches, some of which have children's play areas. A car is not essential as everything is within walking distance. You will be spoilt for a choice of day trips - visit Dubrovnik, hop over to Mljet island and Korcula (15 minute ferry ride) for a magical experience, explore small pearly villages on the Peljesac peninsula, visit great wineries- one of them is in Orebic, the Korta Katarina which also has a good restaurant. All over Peljesac there are wineries producing one or other version of the red wine from the Plavac mali grape (Dingac, Postup, Plavac), white Posip and some rosé wines. It is home to some lovely beaches, the main one in Orebic is of fine pebbles and sand (Trstenica beach) but there are quite a few sandy ones. Serious windsurfing, kitesurfing, and paragliding is in nearby Viganj. Other activities are diving among shipwrecks, hiking cycling, walking up the mountain to the 15th century Franciscan monastery with great views.

Once a week from June to September the town offers wine and food tasting and there are performances of traditional Klapa music known as "The sounds of Dalmatia". There are music workshops in the local church. In July there is a shipbuilding workshop for children on the promenade in the town. If you are there in late September, there is a very enjoyable local championship in extreme and other sports, followed by special entertainment events (called Rozariada).Family Grljusic runs a rural inn in a village of Gurića Selo, a small place located high in the hills above Orebić. They established a climbing venue, Hrid, next to the village. The site offers seven climbing routes, and they will be adding more. Experienced climbers can try it themselves, while beginners can learn the basics of rock climbing accompanied with a professional guide.
