This amazing old stone villa on the beach is located in the unspoilt, green Mediterranean peninsula of Peljesac, and has direct access to a wonderful beach where you can swim in the clean and warm Adriatic sea. Surrounded by a scented garden with palms, lemons, limes and figs you will be living the outdoor life eating deliciously, swimming, relaxing under the trees and having a lot of fun. The villa is spacious, comprising 240 square metres of living space. It has been sensitively restored and keeps its character as a typical Dalmatian stone villa, with light and spacious living room and comfortable bedrooms, each with a queen bed and with good linen and plenty of towels.

It is a few minutes' drive to a very charming and lively town of Orebic and very convenient for a 15 min trip to the island of Korcula - a must! If you like active holidays you are in the right place. Scuba diving, winds surfing, fishing, cycling... all at your doorstep. A day trip to famous Dubrovnik is another must, but the whole peninsula is worth exploring, its quaint villages, numerous wineries and sandy or pebbly beaches are superb. Famous for its wines and great Mediterranean cuisine, this bit of Croatia will enchant you and you will be back!

The villa is arranged on two floors and the access is at the back, where you can park four to five cars. The villa is fully air-conditioned.

Ground floor

On the ground floor there is a large modern open-plan sitting room, kitchen, three double bedrooms and one separate bathroom. The dining area is just outside, on a covered terrace. The living room has a fine stone floor and a smart leather sofa, satellite TV, CD and DVD player, and internet access. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, blender, cooking utensils and tableware. There is also a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board and a hair drier. A doorway leads out onto the garden terrace with pretty table and chairs for outdoor dining, and a wonderfully comfortable set of outdoor armchairs, where you can sit and gaze at the sea. There are three double bedrooms on the ground floor sharing a bathroom.

First floor

A spiral staircase leads to the first floor where there are two double bedrooms, each with their own en-suite bathroom. Both double bedrooms lead out onto a shared sea-facing balcony.

The main attraction of the entire villa is its exquisite outside area, where guests spend the majority of their time, as it makes of an ideal entertaining area. The patio doors from the sitting room lead out onto a large outdoor dining area equipped with a BBQ. Both the outdoor lounge and outside dining areas are shaded by an attractive wooden sun shade. Towards the beach there is a spacious garden with more seating, sun loungers and hammocks. From there you can enjoy the best sea view. Stairs (about 60 steps, a 40 metre distance) lead down to the beautiful beach and crystal clear water. The entrance to the villa is through a large metal gateway where there is ample parking for many cars. The parking area is surrounded by trees keeping cars cool in the hot day. Beaches Right infront of the villa there are fabulous beaches on a beautiful stretch of the Croatian coast. The villa has a private entrance onto the beach and a dining table on a terrace overlooking the beach with a sea view.

Orebic - think grand captain's houses with tropical plants along the sea promenade, long pebbly/sandy beach, romance and fun. That is how we would sum up this wonderful and friendly but elegant small town on the south of the Peljesac peninsula, looking across to the island of Korcula. A great, centuries long maritime tradition has brought prosperity to Orebic, and is still remembered in the town's Maritime Museum. We would recommend Orebic to anyone, but it is especially suitable for families looking for an interesting but safe place to rest and play. The small town with seven fountains abounds with cafes and restaurants, easy to get to beaches, some of which have children's play areas. A car is not essential as everything is within walking distance. You will be spoilt for a choice of day trips - visit Dubrovnik, hop over to Mljet island and Korcula (15 minute ferry ride) for a magical experience, explore small pearly villages on the Peljesac peninsula, visit great wineries- one of them is in Orebic, the Korta Katarina which also has a good restaurant. All over Peljesac there are wineries producing one or other version of the red wine from the Plavac mali grape (Dingac, Postup, Plavac), white Posip and some rosé wines. It is home to some lovely beaches, the main one in Orebic is of fine pebbles and sand (Trstenica beach) but there are quite a few sandy ones. Serious windsurfing, kitesurfing, and paragliding is in nearby Viganj. Other activities are diving among shipwrecks, hiking cycling, walking up the mountain to the 15th century Franciscan monastery with great views.

Once a week from June to September the town offers wine and food tasting and there are performances of traditional Klapa music known as "The sounds of Dalmatia". There are music workshops in the local church. In July there is a shipbuilding workshop for children on the promenade in the town. If you are there in late September, there is a very enjoyable local championship in extreme and other sports, followed by special entertainment events (called Rozariada).Family Grljusic runs a rural inn in a village of Gurića Selo, a small place located high in the hills above Orebić. They established a climbing venue, Hrid, next to the village. The site offers seven climbing routes, and they will be adding more. Experienced climbers can try it themselves, while beginners can learn the basics of rock climbing accompanied with a professional guide. Getting there. Catch a bus from Dubrovnik (2 hours 30 min) or go by hire car or taxi. If you are arriving from the direction of Split take the ferry from Ploce which takes you to Trpanj from where it is a short drive across the peninsular to Orebic.
