Overview
A most beguiling, small mountain cottage, excelling in every comfort and authentic charm, completely rebuilt in stone and wood which are typical materials of the region. The discerning owners have made this irresistible place very comfortable indeed with quality beds, stylish bathrooms, works of art everywhere and a sumptuous small wine cellar full of excellent Croatian wines.
Fresh, clean air and woodland vistas will be very restful, and you are surrounded by hiking trails and mountain lodges offering hearty local food. This place is good enough to spend a week at, as it is just 25km from the amazing Plitvice Lakes which everyone should visit in their lifetime, or combine a few days in this heaven en route to the Adriatic coast of Croatia.
Accommodation
The villa comprises 150 square metres and has 12000 square metres of garden.
Lower Ground floor
On the lower ground floor is a wine room housing an impressive collection of famous Croatian wines, available at cost price. A shower room is also located on this floor.
Ground floor
The ground floor has an open-plan living and dining area with country-style kitchen and access to the outside terrace. In the open-plan area is a sofa and armchair, TV, HiFi and dining table for 6 people. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, wood stove, electric cooker and hob, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, cooking utensils and good tableware. There is also a kitchen larder and a pantry, a washing machine, iron and ironing board. In one corner is a writing desk and chair with a library of many best-selling wine and gastro books in numerous languages.
First floor
On the first floor there are two bedrooms with fantastic views of fields and hills. One bedroom has a double and single bed, and the other has twin beds. Two additional single beds are available on request. There is also a modern bathroom with bathtub on this floor. All bed linen and bathroom towels are provided.
Outside
The garden has a paved terrace with sun loungers, outside dining table and chairs. A landscaped section surrounds the house and more meadow, woodland and hillside stretches away from the house.
