Overview
Old Bridge Villa is a great example of a typical rustic, Istrian country house, with an outside stone stairway leading to the upper floor of the villa, where there is a covered terrace and two bedrooms. The villa is located in one of the prettiest parts of north Istria, overlooking a vineyard valley with a small stream and a tiny old bridge. The village is also very charming, full of old houses and some excellent restaurants providing succulent steaks with truffles, homemade pasta and excellent red Merlots and Terans, and a local white called Malvasia. It is a gourmet region of Croatia. Famous walled towns of Motovun and Groznjan are a few minutes' drive away and the sea is in Novigrad, a 20 minutes' drive.
Accommodation
Ground floor
The air-conditioned ground floor is covered in terracotta tiles and comprises a cosy sitting room with TV, a large wooden table for six people and a stunning old, open fireplace and two comfortable sofas. There is a rustic kitchen with a table for four people equipped with a fridge/freezer, cooker, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, kettle, cooking utensils and tableware.
First floor
The first floor comprises two bedrooms - one with a double bed and the other one with twin beds. The bedrooms share a bathroom, and all bed linen and towels are provided. You can walk out onto the upstairs terrace which is covered in a typical Istrian fashion with a pitched roof, and has good quality outdoor sofa and armchairs. The view stretches across vineyards and olive groves.
Outside
The large country garden of this villa has a lovely swimming pool and four sun beds, outdoor dining table and a barbecue. All around are magnificent country views.
