OVERVIEW
Exclusive private luxury villa Rayna is a designer villa with pool, located on an exclusive small estate of similar high end private villas in Istria, otherwise known as Croatian Tuscany. All around the region vineyards and olive groves cover the countryside, since thousands of years ago, when this was a Roman province. The olive oils have won many international prizes and the experts say that it is the best in the world. Equally, the beautiful white wines are prize winning - try Malvazia, white and grey Pinot, Chardonnay, red Terans, Barberas and Merlots. They go so well with the local Istrian steak with truffles, or the handmade pasta with plenty of truffle shavings, freshly grilled fish, air dried ham and other local delicacies. Culture and history are in prime position too - look at the UNESCO Basilica of St Euphrasia with beautiful early medieval mosaics in Porec, a real observatory in Visnjan, and then travel south to see the renaissance palaces of Rovinj, Vodnjan (even mummies are on display there) and Pula, which also has a very large Roman amphitheatre from the 1st century AD. The small hilltop towns of central Istria are a short drive away and are real gems - visit Motovun (film festival), Groznjan (music), Oprtalj (antiques and truffles) and enjoy magnificent views from the medieval city walls. Outdoor activities of every kind are on offer, such as a full range of water sports in Porec and Novigrad, tennis school and golf in Umag, hiking and biking paths, caves in Baredine, Dinosaur Park, Istralandia water park, riding, and Brioni island trips. There is so much to do, one holiday is not enough! To top it all, there are 22 Blue Flag beaches in the area and the nearest one is 2km away…what more could one want?!
Luxury Istria villa Rayna with pool has 320 square metres of living space and 900 square metres garden with a large pool, a barbecue and an outdoor dining area. It has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, smart new kitchen with a period detail, a gorgeous living room and dining room. The beautiful, L shaped white façade incorporates the authentic Istrian country style - shady terrace with arches, balconies and a pillared first floor terrace. Technology is all new - free WiFi, air conditioning throughout, smart TVs. The villa is also pet friendly.
ACCOMMODATION
Ground floor
The ground floor is an open plan space full of Mediterranean light. The entrance hall is spacious and tiled with elegant cream marble tiles. Beautiful parquetry extends to the kitchen, dining room and sitting room. The blue artisan country kitchen with white baroque detail is very attractive and equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, electric hob, espresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils and tableware. The sitting room has two deep blue sofas and armchair, a wall mounted TV set surrounded by a custom made shelf. The dining room has a beautiful heavy round dining table and stylish but comfortable chairs, seating 8 people. The whole mood of this living area is so pleasant and inviting, it is a lovely place to feel good.
On the ground floor are two delightful double bedrooms, one with a blue and the other with a white colour scheme, opening up on the garden and pool terrace. They each have their own bathrooms, one equipped with a bath tub, the other with a large classy shower. Bed linen and towels are of highest quality.
The house is also equipped with an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, a safe and a vacuum cleaner.
First floor
The cream bedroom opens out onto a wrought iron balcony and has an ensuite shower. This bedroom has a good sea view.
Another bedroom has a double four poster bed, access to the private terrace and a large beautiful bathroom with a bath tub. From the terrace outside steps lead you down to the pool. From the bedroom and the terrace there is a lovely sea view.
OUTSIDE
The garden is fully fenced and offers private parking. Under the thick arches of the villa there is a dining table for 8, the table and chair of high quality as is the gas barbecue. The swimming pool is 9 by 4 metres and 1.3 metres deep, with pool towels provided. The pool is surrounded by top grade sun loungers, other chairs and seating and some parasols. A grand old olive tree reminds you that you are in the prime olive area.
