Overview
Villa Riva is a large and luxurious 5-star villa on the promenade by the harbour of Umag, a lively and charming coastal town in Istria. The villa is presented in old-style grandeur, with polished parquet flooring, stone loggias, well proportioned rooms but with modern kitchens and bathrooms. It is surrounded by a Mediterranean garden, laid to lawns behind wrought iron gates. The house is glimpsed between mature Mediterranean pines and palm trees, and a recently added swimming pool completes the luxury status of this special villa.
Accommodation
Living room and dining room are in open plan arrangement, opening out onto a covered garden terrace, the garden, and sea views. The living area has wonderful wood parquet floor, quality rugs, antique lighting and furniture, comfortable sofas and armchairs and tasteful mirrors and paintings of well known Croatian artists on the walls. This area contains a flat screen satellite TV and a DVD/CD sound system. Next to the living room is an office with high speed internet for the use of guests. The kitchen is equipped with a hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and all cooking and dining utensils of high quality. A double bedroom is also on the ground floor, with an en-suite shower room and its own kitchenette. A utility room on the ground floor contains a washing machine, sink and storage space. The wellness area is equipped with a jacuzzi tub, TV/Sound system, gym, and a shower room/WC.
First floor
An elegant staircase leads to the first floor and four bedrooms/suites. The airy landing contains a sitting area and a TV. The first floor has its own sitting room, also with a satellite TV. In addition there are two large double bedrooms with sea view balconies, and these bedrooms share a large bathroom. Further two bedrooms form a master suite with a bathroom and a balcony with table and chairs, overlooking the garden. All the bedrooms are large and furnished with double or twin beds and elegant furniture. Comfortable beds are dressed with excellent bed linen, and plenty of towels and pool towels are provided. All the bathrooms are decorated wit quality Italian tiles, modern furniture and good lighting.
Finally, a separate self-contained apartment with a kitchen, sitting room and bathroom has its own independent entrance from the back garden.
Outside
The lush garden with swimming pool are a great attraction of this villa by the sea. The garden is really restful, and sun loungers, chairs and umbrellas are provided by the pool.
