... there is everything in the house
Das Haus war in Ordnung. Jedes Schlafzimmer hat Klimaanlage. Außerdem gibt es im Haus alles mögliches für das normalen
Leben. Alle Geräte haben einwandfrei funktioniert. Swimmingpool war ständig sauber. Nette und hilfsbereite Nachbarn. (The house was kept in good order. Each bedroom has air conditioning. Besides, there is everything in the house for day to day living. All devices worked perfectly. Swimming pool was always clean. Nice and helpful neighbors.)

About location:

(Very good location: Market in 50 meters from the house. Restaurants are 5 minutes walk away (Stari Ribar and Konoba GaliolaI is recommendable): good food for little money. Beach is about 25 min walk away and 2 min by car; we liked it. Evenings were very nice and quiet. Medulin is also 20 minutes walk, Pula 15 minutes by car.)

The villa was simply brilliant
We stayed in your villa in Liznjan for 2 weeks during July and had a wonderful time, and just wished to pass on our appreciation to
you.
Liznjan was a great base to travel throughout the Istrian Peninsula.
The Villa was simply brilliant, peaceful location but with access to all key amenities, and the pool was brilliant. Had just everything
that we could have wished for.
Additionally appreciate the advice and guidance on what to do/see.
Had particularly great times in Pula and Rovinj.
Please also pass on our thanks to Anita and her team in Liznjan.

A brilliant holiday
We had a brilliant holiday in Liznjan Villa. We loved the village and found two very good restaurants, minutes walk from villa. We did
not have a car but as we like walking this was not a problem. Most days we took tracks down to the sea and enjoyed the wild life on
the way. We walked into Medulin but part of the way was along a very busy road so the next time we took a bus in. We also took a
bus into Pula but came home by taxi. We found a Lydl for a large shop but found the little shops in the village were well stocked.

About location:

We loved the village and surrounding areas. It was fairly quiet and we enjoyed walking down to the sea and the beach cafes. The
amphitheatre at Pula is well worth a visit as are the restaurants in village.

Well stocked with all household necessities.Good pool and shaded areas; very little grounds. it would not be suitable for young
children. We were warned about the slippery surroundings of the pool but it was not a problem. More storage in the two smaller
bedrooms would have been good.

About location:

Heart of village could be noisy but it's a working village. It was a pleasure to have good restaurants within walking distance. There
were two small supermarkets a bar and a butchers and a baker. All good. The beach was not within walking distance and was a
small stony inlet where you could bathe. The surrounding are was diverse and interesting. There was plenty to see and do.

We had a fantastic time our first trip to Croatia
The villa was ideally located for us; to be honest we didn't spend much time in the villa as we were out exploring the area every day. Absolutely loved Levan beach and the windsurfing beach (cheap and tasty Burgers my daughter said the best chips she has ever had !!). It was so cheap to eat out. We tried all the 3 restaurants in the area and loved them all in different ways:

Stari Ribar: Great Pizza and fantastic prices we had dinner with drinks for £30

Galiola: food was great slightly more expensive than Stari Ribar (still cheaper than other countries we have been to) but food was worth the money and staff very friendly.

Restaurant at top of road this was lovely the food and wine was lovely and again helpful staff (most expensive in area but worth it)

The bar at the top of the road was lovely to chill with fantastic views.

We loved it so much that we are now thinking about buying a place ourselves; definitely ticked every box for us.

Thank you for introducing us to such a beautiful country and the lovely friendly people of Liznjan and the surrounding areas.

Liznjan is located at the southern end of the Istrian peninsula about 15 minutes drive from Pula and Pula airport. Liznjan is a charming agricultural and fishing village about one kilometre from the coast. The village has several small shops providing a wide range of groceries as well as fresh bread and vegetables. There are several restaurants and cafe/bar. The tourist trade is restricted mainly to bed and breakfast and private apartments rental. The neighbouring village of Medulin (less than 2 kilometres distant) has a much more extensive tourist trade with several hotels and a wider range of shops, bars and restaurants. A number of activities are available locally including tennis and riding. There are well market cycle routes and some delightful country and coastal footpaths.
There are scuba diving schools in Pula and Medulin.Nearby Pula has a summer film festival and regular concerts (pop and classical) in the atmospheric Roman arena in Pula. Nightclubs can be found in the neighbouring village of Medulin and in Pula.

Eating out
Local restaurants in Liznjan and Medulin offer a varied menu including excellent seafood whilst in Pula there are several restaurants offering first class cuisine and fine wines.
Beach in the village of Liznjan
Beaches
There are many delightful spots to swim around Liznjan Bay. In the bay below the village there is a popular swimming area for families with children as it has sheltered shallow water and a sandy bottom. A short walk or drive around the bay will bring you to many other swimming areas; one with a grove of pine trees providing shade from the midday sun and another with an ancient stone quay offering a good spot for jumping and diving into the water. Other stretches of coastline that can be reached only by farm tracks (we will give you directions) will take you to more secluded shingle bays with crystal clear water which are perfect for relaxing, swimming and snorkelling. The small island of Levan which is just a few hundred metres offshore has a wonderful golden sandy beach and a couple of beach bar/restaurants serving drinks and freshly grilled fish and meat; a taxi boat can take you from the mainland to the beach. In nearby Medulin there is a sheltered sandy bay with very shallow water that is ideal for young children. The rocky promontory of Rt Kamenjak (the tip of Istria is a national park and offers a great choice of beaches.
