This charming Mediterranean villa is located in the vibrant fishing village of Medulin, where houses are dotted around the harbour and in the old nucleus of narrow streets leading up to a two-spire church. The village has numerous long sandy beaches and a string of cafes, restaurants and bars lining the seafront. Small fishing boats bob along in the harbour, market stalls cram the narrow streets and in the evenings life goes on in cafes and clubs until small hours. This village has something for everyone. Families with children will enjoy the beaches, ice cream, large fairground, trips to the nearby islands, teenagers and adults will feel pretty safe in the friendly local bars and nightclubs , spending the days doing all kinds of water sports such as scuba diving, sailing and surfing, and culture vultures will visit ancient churches, concerts, nearby Roman rustic villas, and the amazing 2000 year old city of Pula. The villa is in the heart of the village, surrounded by similar houses, close to the beach, public transport and all the amenities. The house comprises 145 square metres and the grounds are 700 square metres, lined with mature trees, which provides a good deal of privacy.

Medulin is a popular tourist village just 9 km from Pula and 15 minutes' drive from Pula airport. The centre of the old village is on a hillside about 800 metres inland from the coast and has plenty of character with the narrow lanes and old stone building that are typical of the region. Today there are many shops and restaurants in this central area. However the modern village is much enlarged and has extended down to the sea. Many modern new villas have been built in this area. On the coast overlooking the harbour there are numerous bars and restaurants and a delightful promenade along two sides of the bay with many small boats tied up on the quays and jetties. This is a lively area in the evenings. The harbour is separated from the main beach by a narrow peninsula covered in pine trees. The beach is sandy and very gently shelving so ideal for young children. But in peak season it will be busy.
There are beach bars providing refreshment if you are having a day on the beach while boat trips out to the small islands in Medulin bay and other water sports are available from the harbour. The village has two large supermarkets on its outskirts as well as bakeries, coffee shops, souvenir and clothing shops. The regional centre Pula, with its famous Roman amphitheatre is easily reached by car or bus. The stunning and wild scenery of Rt Kamenjak - the tip of the Istrian peninsula - from where you can swim from the rocky headland or in quiet coves, is a 15 minute drive.Watersports are plentiful in Medulin. Windsurfing, wakeboarding, waterskiing and scuba diving are available. There are boat trips from Medulin harbour out to the small islands in Medulin bay where you can laze away the day sunbathing and relaxing over a long lunch in one of the beachside bars that prepare fresh grilled meat and fish. Croatian Villa Holidays can arrange full day private boat excursion to these islands and further afield allowing you to set your own agenda.

Getting there : Medulin is just 10-15 minutes from Pula airport so an easy taxi ride or a short journey by hire car
