Overview

Villa Eden sits at a beautiful bay on Brac island, 3.5 km from Milna. Milna itself is the safest harbour on the island and has been welcoming sailors and yachtsmen for centuries. Cafes and restaurants are dotted around the harbour and there are several local beaches in walking distance. Or visit the village of Bobovisce with its rich cultural heritage and Roman and Byzantine archaeologial sites. And surely not to miss the famour Golden Horn beach which is less than 2 km from the town of Bol. Bars and restaurants are lined up along the pretty harbour of Bol and you just might want to sit there and watch, taking in the view. Brac island offers a host of outdoor activities with watersports on the top of the list, but also trekking, mountain biking and rock climbing.

The villa complex consists of the main house and a guest house, both single storey buildings with many windows and doors opening out onto terraces, courtyards and the garden. The main house can accommodate six people and the guest house two people. Additional sleeping accomodation can be arranged for one child, if required.

An additional two bedroom apartment for three guests can be rented at extra cost, on request only.

Floor to ceiling doors open out onto the shady terrace with a dining table for 10 persons. Satellite TV/DVD/music system is provided.

Bedrooms

Bedrooms are arranged as a master suite and a two bedroom suite, in total three bedrooms in the main house. The master suite is a large bedroom with a king size bed, an ensuite shower room, its own sitting area with a good selection of books, and a doorway to a covered outdoor terrace where you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast and relax all day. The two bedroom suite has a queen size bed in one room and a double bed in the other. There is also a shared shower room and a separate WC, as well as a shared veranda.

GUEST HOUSE

The guest house has its own private entrance but is within the villa complex. It has a sitting area, with a sofa and a single bed, a satellite TV/DVD/music centre and a terrace facing the sea. Outside

The villa is built on a small peninsula which extends out from a lovely bay with a pebbly/sandy beach. There is 4000 square metres (one acre) of garden surrounded by a stone wall, which gives you plenty of privacy. The garden is stunning and well planted, and stone steps and paths lead you to a very private beach. The garden has many terraces for resting, dining and sunbathing. Reviews

Just back from Villa Eden on Brac which we loved.  The host looked after us well and we loved the setting by the sea. It was idyllic.

Most perfectly tranquil atmosphere you could imagine. A real hidden treasure!
For Luxurious peace and quiet. My family and I have stayed two years running in Villa Eden. A beautifully laid out house and garden with a swimming pool, leads on to the rocks and straight into the Adriatic. For luxurious peace and quiet and wonderful surroundings, you could not do better. Croatia has the reputation of being very crowded, but here there is total privacy and the most perfectly tranquil atmosphere you could imagine. A real hidden treasure!

A Lovely Villa with Access to the Se
I recently stayed at this beautiful villa near Milna (on the island of Brac) with my family of 4 and another couple of friends with 2 young children. The villa met my expectations in every way: the main house is nicely designed and has 3 bedrooms (the master bedroom is huge!) and air conditioning throughout. There is an annexed cottage (very nicely and recently renovated) where my teenager children slept more than comfortably (it has a bathroom and air conditioning as well!). In the main house, there is a large kitchen with a big wood burning oven, so we enjoyed grilled meals every day.

During the day, we all had fun in the reasonably sized swimming pool which is surrounded by trees and flowers: overall, the grounds are lovely landscaped and nicely manicured. But if that is not enough, there is also a beautiful semi-private beach accessible directly from the property. At night, we ate outdoor in the gorgeous patio overlooking the bay, but our favorite area was the additional elevated, covered terrace where we had drinks and appetizers while admiring the wonderful landscape of the island. The location is just perfect!

Finally, the property owner is attentive and courteous: her charm is just the final cherry to the cake! I have already recommended this property to other friends and family.

Brac Island

Brac is the most accessible of the larger Dalmatian islands and there are regular and frequent ferry crossings which makes getting to Brac very straightforward.

The simplest connection to the island is to fly to Split and take the regular ferry crossings from Split ferry port to Supetar on Brac. The ferry port is a 30 minute drive from Split Airport but allow longer in peak periods.

Getting from the airport to the ferry port

You can hire a car at the airport and take it over on the ferry. One advantage of this is that you don't have to manhandle your luggage on to the ferry as a foot passenger.  Alternatively take a taxi to the ferry port.  The approximate cost is 35-40 euro depending on time of travel and 40-50 euro for an 8 seater minibus. There are several bus services that run from the airport terminal to Split main bus station which is next to the ferry port. These leave from right outside the terminal building and include a shuttle service run by Croatia Airlines. Typical cost of a one way bus ticket is around 5.50 euro per person. Local bus service 38 stops on the main road outside the airport and is a 50 minute journey into the centre of Split  It is about half the price of the shuttle services but does not take you as close to the ferry port and is much slower.

Ferries to Brac

The ferry from Split to Brac (car or foot passenger) takes 50 minutes and there are regular crossings during the summer (typically every 90 minutes). The cost of a one way ticket for a car and four adult passengers will be about €40.

The ferry timetable for the Jadrolinija line from Split to Supetar on the island of Brac can be found on the Jadrolinija website.

There is also a regular car ferry service from Makarska on the mainland directly to Sumartin at the south east end of the island (see Jadrolinija website line 638 for sailing schedule and prices). This crossing is convenient if arriving from the direction of Dubrovnik however the service runs only five times a day in peak season and we recommend booking in advance on this line.

There is a fast catamaran ferry service from Milna on Brac to Split on Wednesdays. It departs from Milna  in the morning and returns late afternoon so is convenient for a day trip to Split. Both Jadrolinija (line 9602) and Kapetan Luka run this service. The crossing is 30 minutes. Details also on the respective websites. Around €6.60 with Kapetan Luka and less with Jadrolinija.

Also convenient for day trips to Split is the daily service that departs from Bol in the early morning and returns late afternoon. Line 9603 on the Jadrolinija website. The crossing is one hour 10 minutes.

Transfer by private taxi boat

Private taxi boat transfers from the quay near Split airport to Brac island can be arranged.  Prices will depend on your destination on Brac, the numbers in your party and the time of travel but will typically be in the region of 400-600 euro. Ask us for a quote. Crossing times from 35 to 50 minutes depending on your destination on Brac.

Brac airport ideal for private jets

Brac has its own small airport near the town of Bol. Light aircraft can fly into this airport and there are scheduled passenger flights from Split Airport. Zagreb and Graz in Austria. Information on the Brac airport website.

We can arrange car hire from Split Airport. We can also organize car hire on the island. Scooters and bicycles can also be rented. The local bus company, Arriva, runs buses several times a day between the principal towns on the island. Timetables can be found on the Arriva website.

Split Airport

Split Airport is located to the west of Split close to the town of Trogir. It is 25 minutes drive from the airport to the ferry port in Split although you should allow longer in mid summer.
