Villa Lozna accommodates eight to ten people in 4 bedrooms and the second sitting room (sofa bed). It is located in the delightful village of Postira on the Dalmatian island of Brac. Brac is a beautiful, unspoilt island very close to the mainland and the fascinating city of Split. Its coastline is studded with villages built from the local white stone (the White House in Washington is built from the same stone). Inland, there are charming old villages nestling between olive groves and vineyards. Sandy and pebbly beaches are everywhere and the spectacular beach Zlatni Rat in the little town of Bol is deemed to be one of the most beautiful in Europe.

Brac island is easily accessible by ferry from Split, which goes round the clock during the summer season, and several times a day during the rest of the year. Split is full of antiquities, markets, galleries, restaurants and nightclubs. It is well worth a visit. Do not miss the famous, 1700 year old palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian and the Roman Forum (UNESCO world heritage sites). Superb local fresh fish, meat, olive oil and wine are top quality and water sports are available in the region. The climate is mild all year round, with over 300 days of sunshine. The sea is warm, clear and unpolluted, and everyone swims in it. This is an ideal holiday destinations for families, teenagers and adults.

The villa is set into a hillside and arranged on three floors so that all principal rooms have views over the Adriatic. The top floor is laid out to provide the main living area with the panoramic view of the sea. The first floor is the main bedroom area where front bedrooms all look out over the sea. The ground floor contains a large living room with a sofa bed (the second living room), which opens out onto the pool terrace. The garden is very large, planted with olive trees and Mediterranean scented shrubs. There is a parking area for two cars. The beach below the villa is three minutes' walk away and Postira village centre is a few minutes' drive or 12 minutes walk away. It is a typical, charming fishing village with narrow streets and old stone houses around a harbour and beach. The village has supermarkets, bakery, butchers and several restaurants and cafes. The nearby picturesque village of Dol (3 kilometres inland) has several interesting restaurants that are well known for their cuisine based on local produce.

One of the best family holidays we have enjoyed anywhere
I am writing to let you know how much we enjoyed our recent stay in Villa Lozna on Brac. Our party consisted of me and my wife, son and daughter, son-in-law and 2 granddaughters aged 3 and 5. Our arrival from Split went smoothly and we had no problems finding the villa and settling in. Daniella was very helpful throughout not only in the villa but in offering suggestions for excursions, restaurants and shopping. The weather was very hot throughout but the villa provided plenty of shade and the pool was well utilised particularly by the little ones who spent most of their time in it! There were some issues with the aircon in some of the rooms but these were resolved quickly with Daniella's help and did not impinge on our holiday. All in all, this was one of the best family holidays we have enjoyed anywhere and we would all recommend both Brac and Villa Lozna to anyone.

Lovely pool and outdoor area.
Very spacious, well positioned, well stocked. Lovely pool and outdoor area. Second kitchen was very useful for poolside meals.

D., who lives next door, was very helpful.

About location:

Very nice beach and beach café, 5 minutes from the villa. Both Postira and Supetar have a good range of
restaurants, but lacking in nightlife for teenagers.

Just a quick note to let you know that we thought Villa Lozna was great - the whole family really enjoyed their stay there - we were eight people ranging in age from 14 to 47, and it all worked out very well. The description on the website is very accurate and we have nothing but praise for the villa.

Loved it!
We stayed here in July last year and had a wonderful time The villa is great, and had everything you could ask for (and more). Best thing about it for us was the huge terrace outside, and the lovely pool. We ate outside every night, and cooked in the brick barbecue most nights too. Having a second kitchen downstairs made this so easy. The rest of the villa is great too. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were really clean and tidy, and the pool was brilliant as well! The beach is only a short walk from the villa, and then a little further on is the town of Postira, which is beautiful. Overall we had a great time, and would definitely go back. Brac is a beautiful island, and there's loads to do there. Villa Lozna was perfect for us and our family, and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Brac.

Luxurious Vacation Rental, Amazing Place to Stay!
My wife and I spent one week at Villa Lozna last summer and we couldn't have found a better place to stay. The house itself is well equipped, very clean and beautifully designed. We enjoyed our meals outside with the amazing ocean view. It was a short walk down to the beach and about a 15 minute walk to town. From town, you can get picked up for many different types of tours of the island, we chose to go sea Kayaking and it was amazing. The location of the house doesn't make it necessary to have a car unless you want to go around the island a bit more than we did. The house has WiFi, very convenient and an amazing pool for when you don't feel like going down to the beach. Don't miss out on staying at Villa Lozna, bring friends and family as it's also big enough for group travel!

Postira beach
Postira's is a traditional and very old, small seaside town on the north of Brac island, easily reached from Split on the ferry to Supetar. The whole island is based on fishing and olive and citrus cultivation, and recently tourism. The wild thyme, sage, rosemary and mint give a special flavour to the famous Brac lamb which roams freely, and the Postira restaurants base their menu on this local produce. Don't miss the local speciality The Adriatic Queen sardines. Postira have derived its name from "pasture", the place where lambs go to feed! The old town is charming, with old town houses made of beautiful Brac stone, narrow streets and a small and pretty harbour. There are good shops, supermarkets, bakeries and seaside restaurants along the harbour. Beaches in and around Postira are gorgeous and easy to reach, such as Mala Lozna pebble beach, and Lovrecina and Prvlja sandy beaches which are especially beautiful. All main water sports and equipment hire are available. Day trips to Split, Hvar and the lovely Brac villages (Bol for windsurfing) will keep you busy. There is even a desert with a monastery.Summer events are "Postira Summer" with outdoor shows, concerts, dance and local singing. From Postira you can see the Split coastline and wonderful sights of the thousand shimmering mainland lights at night time.

Island of Brac

The simplest connection to the island is to fly to Split and take the regular ferry crossings from Split ferry port to Supetar on Brac. The ferry port is a 25 minute drive from Split Airport. The ferry (car or foot passenger) takes 45 minutes and there are regular crossings during the summer. A bus service from Split Airport to the ferry port in Split is also available.

The ferry timetable for the Jadrolinija line from Split to Supetar on the island of Brac can be found on the Jadrolinija website. Cars can be hired at Split Airport. They can also be hired on arrival at Supetar from local firm MB Renta on the harbour front. Scooters and bicycles can also be rented. The local bus company, Autotrans runs buses several times a day between the principal towns on the island. Timetables can be found on the Autotrans website.

There is also a regular car ferry service from Makarska on the mainland directly to Sumartin at the south east end of the island (see Jadrolinija website for sailing schedule and prices). This crossing is convenient if arriving from the direction of Dubrovnik. There is also a passenger ferry service to Brac running four days a week from Split directly to the town of Milna. Details also on the Jadrolinija website.

Brac has its own small airport near the town of Bol. Light aircraft can fly into this airport and there are connections from Split Airport. Information on the Brac airport website.

If travelling to Brac from the Dubrovnik direction it is preferable to take the ferry crossing from Makarska to Sumartin. The service is less frequent than the Split/Supetar crossing and it is essential to check the timetable on the Jadrolinija website.

Split Airport

Split Airport is located to the west of Split close to the town of Trogir. It is 20 minutes drive from the airport to the ferry port in Split.
