OVERVIEW
Incredibly lovely, family friendly villa Alka with private heated pool comes with a children's playground and many games and activities to keep children and adults occupied. It is located just a 30 minutes' drive north from Split which is the place for history, beaches, markets, museums, nightlife shopping and entertainment. The nearest town in Sinj, a famous Croatian historic town where modern day knights show off their stunning skills on a horse whilst spear throwing in full gallop, through a small ring, known as "alka". The winner is feted by the whole country. Sinj is a 10 minute drive away and has several good supermarkets, bars and restaurants which is convenient for your self-catering. The 4*, luxury holiday home Alka was built in 2020 and comprises 150 square metres of living space and 1200 square metres of outdoors. It is a villa with a very large heated pool (55 square metres), internet, air conditioning and parking. The villa is in a sublime rural position, well placed for exploring Croatia. You should visit The Krka River National Park, Split, historic Trogir, River Cetina white water centre, zip lines near Omis and many beautiful pebbly and sandy beaches.
ACCOMMODATION
Five steps lead to the raised ground floor.
Ground floor
The air conditioned, open plan living room is laid out as a sitting area, kitchen and dining area. Throughout there are modern ceramic floor tiles and windows looking out at the garden and pool. Two large, very comfortable sofas are arranged in front of the large TV with Xbox games, Nintendo Switch with four controllers and over thirty games, Xbox One, Amazon Video, Deezer, and IPTV with over 1000 programmes, many TV channels (Netflix, music channels) and a CD player.
The modern dining table which easily accommodates 6 people divides the sitting and entertainment area from the large, stylish kitchen which is equipped with everything you may require for gourmet cooking: a large American fridge/freezer with cold water and icemaker, dishwasher, oven, hob, extractor hood, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, pancake griddle, high quality cooking utensils, kitchen knives and tableware. A washing machine, iron, ironing board and hairdryers are also provided. There is also a guest cloakroom downstairs.
First floor
First floor comprises three double bedrooms: two with double beds and one with twin beds. There are two shower rooms, one of which also holds a washing machine. There are plenty of fluffy bathroom towels. All three bedrooms have excellent king size or twin beds, wardrobes and bedlinen. Two of them have balconies where you can spend private time taking in amazingly lovely views of the lush countryside and mountains. Air conditioning is from the hallway.
OUTSIDE
Child friendly villa Alka has a beautiful garden, restfully green, with large vistas of the countryside. Scented herbs, lemon trees and palms are scattered about. The large heated pool has 6 sunbathing loungers and more chairs to relax in. Pool towels are provided and there is a pool shower. For outdoor activities there is a net with balls for playing water polo in the pool and a small football area with two goal posts, a basketball net and ball and a portable mini pool table. Such fun for kids and parents!
In the garden there is a smart outdoor, shaded terrace with a dining table for 8 people, Next to it is a modern, wood fired barbecue.
