OVERVIEW
This old, stone built homestead takes you into the mountains of Makarska hinterland, about half an hour's drive from the Makarska coast. Mountain air and thick stone walls make this villa a cooler place for the summer. There are air-conditioning units were installed in 2017 when the villa was renovated and are located in the downstairs kitchen/dining area and sitting room. Another unit in the hallway cools the bedrooms. The villa has WiFi (Internet speed: 6/2 Mbps), HiFi, DVD player and a chessboard. There are wooden floors throughout, classic, comfortable country style furniture, stylish new kitchen and terraces. This wonderful family holiday home has 154 square metres of living space, private garden and pool and a separate garden cottage where you can have your summer kitchen and barbecue, for socializing and sharing a delicious meal. This private, family villa offers peace and quiet, seclusion and real away from it all feel in authentic Dalmatian countryside. The nearby sports facilities, just a 2 minutes walk from the villa, offer a tennis court, basketball hoop, mini golf course and bocce court with all the necessary equipment, and are free of charge for the guests of Villa Vinery.
The vibrant seaside towns of Makarska and Baska Voda are nearby. You can enjoy a day trip to the famous, 1 mile long beach in Makarska, which offers various water sports, beach bars and cafes, night clubs, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and entertainment. Baska Voda is on a smaller scale, but equally fun for families with kids. A day trip to Split or Dubrovnik are also possible.
Villa Mountain View is an hour away from the Catholic pilgrimage place Medjugorje, located across the border of Croatia and into Bosnia, so you will need your passports for the journey.
ACCOMMODATION
Villa Mountain View comprises 4 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms, arranged on the first and second floor. All accommodation is on the first and second floor except for the small cottage 40 metres away, with a summer kitchen and barbecue.
Ground floor
The ground floor of the villa is not in use.
First floor
The first floor is reached by an outside staircase of 18 steps. The sitting room is in a newly built loggia, furnished with sofas, armchairs and TV, with plenty of seating for everyone. The modern kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, cooker, hob, toaster, food processor, kettle, meat slicer, microwave oven, tableware and cooking utensils. The large dining room has a splendid dining table and easily sits 10 people.
On this floor is one double bedroom and a shower room which also contains the laundry with a washing machine. The classic rustic double bed (160 x 200cm) is very comfortable and bed linen and towels are provided, as well as an iron, ironing board, a hair dryer and a safe.
Second floor
Second floor comprises three double bedrooms - one with a double bed (160 x 200cm) and two twin bedrooms (90 x 200cm), all provided with bed linen, towels and a hairdryer.
OUTSIDE
The villa has a 500 square metre garden, with the pool located at the back of the villa in a sunny, south facing position. The pool measures 6 by 4 metres and is 1.60cm deep. There are easy steps into the pool. There are 8 sun loungers, pool towels, a hammock, outdoor shower and 2 parasols. A barbecue and an outdoor dining table complete the leisurely experience in this charming villa, a perfect place to explore the Croatian coast and islands and rest in seclusion in this villa, with outdoor life and wild mountain paths..
