Villa Zafferano is situated in a quiet village , near the celebrated Rovinj, the most beguiling town on the Istrian peninsula. The villa has recently been renovated and given a modern look. In the interior, sleek modern tiles and warm oak floors and staircase are a major feature. Outside an attractive swimming pool provides a focus for the garden. The main entrance is from the side of the house, and leads you to a very spacious hall, with a winding staircase constructed from solid oak and wrought iron. From the hall you enter the living area which takes over the whole ground floor. A downstairs WC is reached from the hallway.
ACCOMMODATION
Ground floor
The sitting room area with comfortable modern sofas and chairs is elevated and reached by a step. It has a TV/DVD/music system and sufficient sitting space for 10-12 people. A step down takes you to a large, hand- made oak dining table. The rest is a very spacious modern kitchen, equipped with everything- cooker and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster and plenty of cooking utensils, plates, cutlery and glassware. Large picture windows open up onto a covered terrace with three electric fans which cool the air on the dining terrace very efficiently. Most of the dining takes place on this large terrace, where up to 16 people can be seated. Ground floor and first floor rooms are individually air-conditioned and on the second floor there is a single air condition unit on the landing and fans are also provided.

On this floor there is a large master bedroom with a king size double bed, en-suite bathroom and a dressing room and a second double bedroom with adjoining (but not ensuite) bathroom. There are inbuilt mosquito meshes in the windows, so that the guests can have the windows open if they wish.

There are one double and three twin beds on the second floor. The double room is en-suite, with very tasteful sanitary ware and Italian tiles. The three twin bedrooms are furnished simply and tastefully, and share a large family bathroom. There is a lot of storage space and all the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Plenty of bath towels are provided.

The villa is surrounded by a secured lawn garden, mainly at the back of the villa. A lovely, irregular pool of 48 square metres (roughly 9 x 5m) has a large decked area for sunbathing, where sun beds and pool towels are provided.

BOATING
Small boats can be hired from the main coastal towns and resorts. The coastline and inshore islands are ideal for exploring by small boat. To hire a motor boat you will require an appropriate licence or you will need to hire a skipper. For more information visit our Charter page.
