Drvenik Veli (Great Drvenik), along with its smaller companion Drvenik Mali (Small Drvenik) are real nature pearls among other tourist destinations in Trogir area. These two small islands are only five nautical miles South West from Trogir and very well connected with Trogir Harbour by frequent ferry connections.
The distance between the islands is only one kilometre which gives you opportunity to visit the other island very easily. Stay in the Drvenik islands if you are looking for beach-houses away from civilisation, in hidden inlets and completely off the beaten track and yet a ferry ride away from the lively town of Trogir. There are a few grocery shops and two restaurants on Drvenik Veli Island. The islands are popular with yachtsmen who particular favour the blue lagoon on the east side of Drvenik Veli where the clarity of the blue water makes this a favourite spot for swimming.
