Villas that are away from the coast will usually offer better value but can still be in spectacular locations in pretty villages or rural settings surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. This is particularly so in Istria. Villas in this category will typically be within a 5 to 10 minutes' drive to the coast so a dip in the sea is not far away.
